PGA DFS: Top Cash Game Picks for the Memorial Tournament

For the seventh of eight Signature Events this season, the Memorial Tournament will be played at Muirfield Village Golf Club (par 72, 7,569 yards, bentgrass greens) in Dublin, Ohio. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Muirfield Village is known as “Jack’s Place,” and this venue has been the site of the Memorial since its inception in 1976. Scottie Scheffler is the two-time defending champion of the Memorial. Last year, he won by four shots at -10. For this week, there will be 72 golfers competing for a $20 million purse and a top-50 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

The PGA DFS Breakdown offers data-driven analysis for each week’s slate, using the FantasyLabs Tools and metrics to highlight notable golfers.

I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.

My analysis will frequently reference Strokes Gained, a set of proprietary metrics generated by the PGA TOUR using millions of data points to calculate how many shots, on average, it takes a player to get the ball in the hole from every distance and situation.

Strokes Gained is now available in the FantasyLabs PGA Models.

There are a variety of Strokes Gained-related metrics, but the six main categories you need to know include:

  • Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (SG: Off-the-Tee)
  • Strokes Gained: Approach (SG: Approach)
  • Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green (SG: Around-the-Green)
  • Strokes Gained: Putting (SG: Putting)
  • Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking (SG: Ball-Striking), which is SG: Off-the-Tee + SG: Approach
  • Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (SG: Tee-to-Green), which is SG: Ball-Striking + SG: Around-the-Green

Don’t forget to check out two key metrics in our models — Perfect% and SimLeverage. You can find an explainer on those metrics here.

The Cliffs Notes version is that you can use SimLeverage to quickly find leverage plays in tournaments, while Perfect% is great for finding the best price-considered plays for cash games.

And don’t forget to utilize our various PGA DFS tools like our Lineup OptimizerLineup Builder, PGA Correlation Dashboard, and our Trends tool.

PGA DFS Cash Game Thoughts

DraftKings $10,000 Range

Scottie Scheffler ($13,500)

Scheffler’s salary is oddly at a season low on DraftKings, and building around him for the Memorial is a no-brainer. Scheffler has absolutely dominated at Muirfield Village, finishing T22, third, third, first, and first in his five starts at the par 72. Scheffler won by four strokes last season, and at 2.87, he easily ranks first in Strokes Gained per round at Muirfield Village. Ranking second is Patrick Cantlay at 2.14. Scheffler is coming off a T3 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, and he has finished inside the top five in 8 of 11 starts this season, including a win and three runner-up finishes. Scheffler’s second win of the season is imminent, and his third straight victory at Jack’s Place is very possible.

DraftKings $8,000 Range

Justin Thomas ($8,400)

After a questionable start to the season, the 16-time PGA TOUR winner has found his groove, finishing T13, T4, and T13 in his last three starts. Thomas nearly gained strokes across the board at all three of these events, and he shot under par in 10 of these 12 rounds, including a 5-under 65 to close out the PGA Championship. Thomas’s record at Muirfield Village isn’t perfect, making 7 of 11 cuts, but he has finished inside the top 10 twice at Jack’s Place, and he ranks 11th among this field in Strokes Gained per round at Nicklaus courses. Thomas won at the Nicklaus-redesigned PGA National in 2018, and he is way underpriced at $8,400. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Thomas carries +3900 odds to win the Memorial, which are better odds than Ben Griffin at $9,000.

Adam Scott ($8,100)

Scott is coming off a missed cut at the PGA Championship, but this is the only time the Aussie has failed to make the cut in 11 starts this season. Scott has finished inside the top 25 seven times – four of which have come at Signature Events – and he ranks second in SG: Approach this season. Four of the last five winners at Muirfield Village have finished the week top-12 in SG: Approach, so Scott looks poised to post another strong finish at the par 72. The veteran has only missed one cut in 16 starts at Muirfield Village, including seven finishes of T17 or better. Scott finished runner-up at Jack’s Place in 2019, and he ranks eighth among this field in Strokes Gained per round at the track.

DraftKings $7,000 Range

Jordan Spieth ($7,900)

Spieth has made 11-of-13 cuts and carded nine top-20 finishes at Muirfield Village, including a T5 in 2023 and a T7 last season. The 32-year-old ranks fifth among this field in Strokes Gained per round at Muirfield Village, and this season, Spieth has only missed one cut in 14 starts, and he has produced eight top-25 finishes. Spieth most recently finished T19 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, and at TPC Craig Ranch, he gained strokes in every major category, and he posted a 9-under 62 in the second round, which is one off his career low. Spieth should thrive at Muirfield Village, and he is a great value at only $7,900, which is the cheapest he has been for a Memorial since 2020.

Gary Woodland ($7,300)

Woodland finished T24 in his last visit to Muirfield Village, marking his ninth made cut and sixth top-25 finish in 13 starts at the par 72. Woodland returns to Jack’s Place, playing terrific golf. The veteran has made seven of his last eight cuts with five top-20 finishes over this time. Woodland dominated the Houston Open with a six-shot win in March, and he just finished T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week. Woodland ranks sixth in par 4 performance and eighth in SG: Off-the-Tee this season, both of which are great signs for Muirfield Village. Four of the last five winners here have finished the event top-10 in both par 4 performance and SG: Off-the-Tee.

Corey Conners ($7,100)

Conners has made 6-of-7 cuts at Muirfield Village, and he has finished inside the top-25 at the track the past two years. The Canadian’s accurate driving suits this Muirfield Village – he ranks fifth in driving accuracy this season – and Conners has been reliable in 2026, missing only one cut in 12 starts and tallying six finishes inside the top 35. Conners is coming off a mediocre T55 at the PGA Championship, but when we take a deeper dive into this start, we will see that this was a result of bad putting, as his ball striking was terrific. At Aronimink GC, Conners finished 121st in SG: Putting but third in SG: Approach. With the greens so small at Muirfield Village, putting isn’t overly important at this venue, but strong iron play is essential, and if Conners can carry over the great ball striking from Aronimink, he should be in store for an excellent week at Jack’s Place.

Keegan Bradley ($7,100)

Bradley has only missed one cut in his last eight starts, and he has supplied three top-25 finishes over this run, two of which came at Signature Events. Bradley has gained strokes on approach and with his putter in two of his last three starts, and at Muirfield Village, Bradley has made 10 of his last 13 cuts with three top-25 finishes, including a career-best T7 last season.

DraftKings $6,000 Range

Kristoffer Reitan ($6,900)

Reitan has been on an awesome run and is just too cheap. The Norwegian has made six cuts in a row and finished inside the top 15 three times during this stretch, most notably with a win at the Truist Championship, which is a Signature Event. Reitan has gained strokes on approach, off the tee, and around the greens in three starts in a row, and while he has never competed at Muirfield Village before, Reitan finished T17 at PGA National earlier this season, so he does know how to navigate a Nicklaus course.

Ryan Gerard ($6,900)

Gerard finished T23 in his first attempt at Muirfield Village last season – including a 3-under 69 in the second round – and he is on the heels of a T10 finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week. Gerard shot under par in 3 of 4 rounds at Colonial, and he finished the event top 15 in both SG: Approach and SG: Putting. For the season, Gerard ranks 10th in SG: Approach, and he has made 14 of 16 cuts with five top-25 finishes.
