MLB Pro Model Stacks: Tuesday 6/6

This series uses the FantasyLabs Tools to analyze MLB stacks in the day’s slate. The series does not provide play or fade recommendations. It provides analysis.

Cleveland Indians

With the Lineup Builder, it’s easy to incorporate stacks into DFS rosters. The top four-man FanDuel stack in the CSURAM88 Model belongs to the Cleveland Indians, whose current implied team total of 5.5 runs is the highest mark on the slate (per the Vegas Dashboard):

It is no surprise to see the Indians as the top stack, as they are at Coors Field taking on righty Antonio Senzatela. With so many high-priced pitchers in the slate — not to mention the 55 percent chance of precipitation — it’s possible that in comparison to typical Coors teams the Indians might have reduced ownership (which Pro subscribers can review after lineup lock via our DFS Ownership Dashboard). Jason Kipnis is especially intriguing: He’s one of the top hitters in the Model, and he has strong recent Statcast data with a batted ball distance of  235 feet and an average exit velocity of 93 miles per hour.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The top five-man DraftKings Pro Trends stacks belongs to the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are implied for a respectable 5.1 runs:

Per our Lineups page, each of these stacked batters has nine Pro Trends. One batter who particularly stands out is No. 4 hitter Jake Lamb, with his .388 wOBA against right-handed pitching and team-high .126 wOBA and .132 ISO differentials. He’s in a great position to exploit Padres righty Dinelson Lamet, who in his only two MLB starts has given up a batted ball distance of 247 feet and fly ball rate of 54 percent. Lamet could get crushed.

Chicago Cubs

The top DraftKings ISO stack belongs to the Chicago Cubs:

With lefty Jeff Locke on the mound for the Marlins, the Cubs are expected to use a righty-heavy lineup. Addison Russell and Jake Almora are in the bottom-third of the order, but they will help to differentiate DFS lineups and trail only Kris Bryant with their wOBA and ISO differentials. Anthony Rizzo has a lefty/lefty matchup that many DFS players will choose to avoid, but he’s a no-splits hitter with an 81 percent Bargain Rating. Locke has a slate-worst combination of 1.708 WHIP and 6.348 K/9. The Cubs aren’t likely to have much trouble against him.
