Bank of Utah Championship: Top PGA DFS Picks, Values, and Sleepers for Large-Field Tournaments on DraftKings

The PGA TOUR is back to the FedExCup Fall after taking a week off for a thrilling Presidents Cup. The Bank of Utah Championship is the second of the eight FedExCup Fall events this season, and it is the third straight year that the PGA TOUR has stopped in the Beehive State to visit the stunning Black Desert Golf Course. Scoring has been very low in each of the last two seasons, with a first-time winner breaking through each season. In 2025, Matt McCarty won, and last year Michael Brennan got the win, which helped launch a great season for the 24-year-old that included another victory.

At the end of the FedExCup Fall, the top 100 will earn full-time membership and exemption. The top 50 are already locked in (from the FedExCup Playoffs), but spots 51-60 will also earn more opportunities in big events early next season via the Aon Next 10. Players will be trying to move into those critical spots throughout the events before the end of the year. Especially in large-field tournaments, you’ll want to target players with lower ownership projections than their potential performance suggests. Finding high-leverage plays is critical for tournament success, so the picks here go against the grain, looking for under-owned options.

High-Priced PGA DFS Pick

Doug Ghim $9,500

For the FedExCup Fall, we’ll focus on just one pick in each price range, and at the bottom of the section, we’ll list out a few more plays that stand out in that price bracket. This week, Doug Ghim has the highest SimLeverage in the field for the second straight event. Ghim has the seventh-highest Perfect% in the field but an ownership projection under 10%.

The 30-year-old is usually at the value end of the salary spectrum, but in these smaller fields, he has a much bigger salary since he brings a good floor and ceiling. He has the fifth-best odds to win and to finish in the top 10, according to Vegas.

Ghim also matches the second-most Pro Trends in the field, behind only betting favorite Jackson Koivun. Ghim finished T17 two weeks ago at the Biltmore Championship and has seven top-20 finishes in his last 11 tournaments. His best finishes during that stretch are a pair of T6s at the John Deere Classic and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Over the last six months, he ranks third in the field in SG:T2G and fourth in SG:OTT, which is an especially important stat at this week’s venue.

Ghim will be playing Black Desert Golf Course for the third straight season after finishing T25 in 2024 and T63 last year. He has been very consistent over the second half of the season, and he will be looking to claim a spot in the top 100 with a strong stretch to finish out the season. He starts the week at No. 89 in the FedExCup Fall standings.
