PGA DFS: Top Cash Game Picks for the Masters

Masters week has finally arrived. This major championship will be played at Augusta National Golf Club (par 72, 7,565 yards, bentgrass greens), which has been the home of the Masters since its inception in 1934. Rory McIlroy (-11) is the defending champion after completing the career grand slam at Augusta National a year ago. There will be 91 golfers competing this week and a top 50 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

The PGA DFS Breakdown offers data-driven analysis for each week’s slate, using the FantasyLabs Tools and metrics to highlight notable golfers.

I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.

My analysis will frequently reference Strokes Gained, a set of proprietary metrics generated by the PGA TOUR using millions of data points to calculate how many shots, on average, it takes a player to get the ball in the hole from every distance and situation.

Strokes Gained is now available in the FantasyLabs PGA Models.

There are a variety of Strokes Gained-related metrics, but the six main categories you need to know include:

  • Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (SG: Off-the-Tee)
  • Strokes Gained: Approach (SG: Approach)
  • Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green (SG: Around-the-Green)
  • Strokes Gained: Putting (SG: Putting)
  • Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking (SG: Ball-Striking), which is SG: Off-the-Tee + SG: Approach
  • Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (SG: Tee-to-Green), which is SG: Ball-Striking + SG: Around-the-Green

Don’t forget to check out two key metrics in our models — Perfect% and SimLeverage. You can find an explainer on those metrics here.

The Cliffs Notes version is that you can use SimLeverage to quickly find leverage plays in tournaments, while Perfect% is great for finding the best price-considered plays for cash games.

And don’t forget to utilize our various PGA DFS tools like our Lineup OptimizerLineup Builder, PGA Correlation Dashboard, and our Trends tool.

PGA DFS Cash Game Thoughts

DraftKings $10,000 Range

Jon Rahm ($10,000)

Jon Rahm is a great building block for cash games this week. The Spaniard won the 2023 Masters by four shots, which is one of his five top-10 finishes at Augusta National. Rahm has never missed a cut here in nine starts, and he ranks fifth among this field in strokes gained per round at Augusta National. Rahm has been outstanding on the LIV Tour this season, finishing second, second, first, fifth, and second. The 31-year-old leads the circuit in points, greens in regulation, and birdies. Rahm is ready to contend for his second green jacket, and this is the cheapest he has been on DraftKings for a Masters since 2019.

DraftKings $9,000 Range

Xander Schauffele ($9,600)

Xander Schauffele has been excellent at Augusta National, making 7 of 8 cuts with five top-10 finishes, three of which have come the last three years. His best finish at this par 72 is a runner-up in 2019, which included a 7-under 65 in the second round. Schauffele ranks 11th among this field in Strokes Gained per round at Augusta National, and his form is exceptional, finishing T7, T24, T3, and T4 in his last four starts. That final start came at the Valspar Championship, and Schauffele closed the event with a 6-under 65 at the Copperhead Course. The two-time major champion should carry this momentum over to Augusta National and produce another high finish at the famous track.

Cameron Young ($9,200)

Cameron Young has finished inside the top 10 in two of his four starts at Augusta National, and he has been on fire, finishing T7, T3, and first in his last three starts, with that win coming at THE PLAYERS Championship. This is Young’s second win in the last seven months, and after the impressive victory at TPC Sawgrass, he is now the No. 3 ranked player in the world. Ranking fourth in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, Young has relied on his driver as his top club, and his tremendous season should continue at the driver-heavy Augusta National. For four years in a row, the Masters winner has finished the event in the top 10 in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee.

DraftKings $8,000 Range

Matthew Fitzpatrick ($8,700)

Following his runner-up at THE PLAYERS Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick went on to win the Valspar Championship the next week. The Englishman shot 2-under or better in each of these past eight rounds, and he gained strokes in every major category at both of these events. Fitzpatrick ranks top 25 in Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, and Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green this season. Not only are strong driving and approach play key at Augusta National, but being a crafty short-game player is also vital at this venue. For five years running, the Masters winner has finished the event in the top 10 in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green. At Augusta National, Fitzpatrick has made 10 of 11 cuts with five top-25 finishes.

Chris Gotterup ($8,000)

Chris Gotterup is a Masters debutant this week, but the ascending talent has the tools to compete at Augusta National and is simply too cheap. Gotterup has won twice this season, making him the only golfer on the PGA TOUR with multiple wins in 2026. Gotterup also just finished T6 at the Houston Open in his last start, including back-to-back 5-under 65s at Memorial Park to conclude the tournament. Gotterup gained strokes across the board that week, and he ranks top 30 in Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, and Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green this season.

DraftKings $7,000 Range

Si Woo Kim ($7,800)

Si Woo Kim missed the cut in his Masters debut in 2017, but he has made seven straight cuts at Augusta National since. Five of these finishes have been top-30 results, and Kim is on the heels of a T10 at the Valero Texas Open. He closed this start with a 5-under 67, which tied for the lowest score of the final round. This marked Kim’s 17th consecutive made cut, and he has produced 12 top-25 finishes during this streak. This season, Kim ranks second in par-four performance, third in Strokes Gained: Approach, and 15th in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee.

Min Woo Lee ($7,700)

Min Woo Lee has made 3 of 4 cuts with two top-25 finishes at Augusta National. His best finish here is a T14, and Lee looks poised to best that this week. The Aussie is in the midst of the best season of his career, missing no cuts in seven starts and carding three top-six finishes, most recently with a T3 at the Houston Open two weeks ago. Lee ranks fifth in Total Strokes Gained, and he ranks first in total driving this season. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Lee carries +3500 odds to win the Masters, which are better odds than the $9,100-priced Justin Rose.

Jake Knapp ($7,400)

After withdrawing from the Arnold Palmer Invitational due to a back injury, Jake Knapp looked healthy at the Houston Open, finishing T6, including an 8-under 62 in the final round, which tied the course record at Memorial Park. Knapp had a birdie attempt on 18 to set the new course record, and this marked his fifth finish inside the top 8 in his last six starts. While he has yet to win, Knapp’s season has been outstanding, as he leads the PGA TOUR in Total Strokes Gained. Knapp finished just T55 in his only start at the Masters two years ago, but he is a totally different class of player now, and he should finish much higher on the leaderboard.

Adam Scott ($7,200)

At this low of a cost, Adam Scott is hard to overlook. Highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Genesis Invitational, the Aussie has made 7 of 7 cuts and supplied four top-25 finishes this season. In fact, Scott has only missed two cuts in his last 23 starts worldwide. Scott ranks third in Strokes Gained: Approach this season, and his history at Augusta National is outstanding. Scott has made 21 of 24 cuts and tallied 11 top-25 finishes at the venue, including a win in 2013.

DraftKings $6,000 and Below Range

Kurt Kitayama ($6,800)

If you need to save and dip into the $6,000 range, Kurt Kitayama is the best option for cash games. Kitayama has only missed two cuts in his last 18 starts, with nine top-25 finishes over this stretch. Kitayama won the 3M Open last July, and he just finished runner-up at the Genesis Invitational in February. Kitayama ranks top-30 in Strokes Gained: Approach, total driving, and par-four performance this season, and he finished T35 in his last start at Augusta National two years ago. Kitayama sits nine spots higher in the world golf rankings now at No. 34, but he is only the 56th-most-expensive player on DraftKings this week.
