We head back to California for the first Signature Event of the season, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. For the third year in a row, this will be a Signature Event that features no cut and 80 players competing for a $20 million purse. Also, for the third straight year, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will feature two courses instead of three, which was the original format for this tournament before it became a Signature Event. Each golfer will play one round at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72, 6,989 yards, POA annua greens) and Spyglass Hill (par 72, 7,071 yards, POA annua greens), then the final two rounds will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Rory McIlroy (-21) is the defending champion of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Gary Woodland (-13) won the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, which is the last major played at this venue.
The PGA DFS Breakdown offers data-driven analysis for each week’s slate, using the FantasyLabs Tools and metrics to highlight notable golfers.
I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.
My analysis will frequently reference Strokes Gained, a set of proprietary metrics generated by the PGA TOUR using millions of data points to calculate how many shots, on average, it takes a player to get the ball in the hole from every distance and situation.
Strokes Gained is now available in the FantasyLabs PGA Models.
There are a variety of Strokes Gained-related metrics, but the six main categories you need to know include:
- Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (SG: Off-the-Tee)
- Strokes Gained: Approach (SG: Approach)
- Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green (SG: Around-the-Green)
- Strokes Gained: Putting (SG: Putting)
- Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking (SG: Ball-Striking), which is SG: Off-the-Tee + SG: Approach
- Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (SG: Tee-to-Green), which is SG: Ball-Striking + SG: Around-the-Green
Don’t forget to check out two key metrics in our models — Perfect% and SimLeverage. You can find an explainer on those metrics here.
The Cliffs Notes version is that you can use SimLeverage to quickly find leverage plays in tournaments, while Perfect% is great for finding the best price-considered plays for cash games.
And don’t forget to utilize our various PGA DFS tools like our Lineup Optimizer, Lineup Builder, PGA Correlation Dashboard, and our Trends tool.
The following players listed are based on DraftKings scoring and pricing.
PGA DFS Cash Game Thoughts
DraftKings $9,000 Range
SI Woo Kim ($9,800)
While it’s a very tough call, building more balanced lineups beginning with Kim is the right move for cash this week, instead of building a stars and scrubs lineup with Scottie Scheffler at $14,000. The world No. 1 has finished T6th and T9th in his two starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. While those two top-10 finishes are obviously notable, we need Scheffler to finish at the worst as runner-up to justify his $14,000 salary this week. Could that happen?
Kim has finished T12th and T14th at the last two AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Ams, and the four-time PGA TOUR winner has been on the cusp of his fifth victory, finishing T4th, T11th, T6th, runner-up, and T3rd in his last three starts. Kim ranks second only to Scheffler in Total Strokes Gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and he ranks fourth in par-5 performance this season, which bodes well for this week, as each of the last three winners of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am have finished the event top seven in par-5 scoring.

Justin Rose ($9,400)
Rose put on a show at the Farmers Insurance Open two weeks ago, winning the event by seven shots at a tournament record -23. The Englishman has now won twice in his last eight starts, and now he makes his way to Pebble Beach, where Rose has been excellent throughout his career. In his last three starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Rose has won by three strokes and finished T11th and T3rd, in that order. He also finished T3rd at the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Rose ranks fourth on the PGA TOUR in SG: Approach this season, and he should continue to thrive at Pebble Beach in this form. Pebble Beach Golf Links is a true second-shot course, where four of the last five winners have finished the event top 15 in SG: Approach.

DraftKings $8,000 Range
Maverick McNealy ($8,800)
McNealy has finished inside the top five twice in his last five starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and the veteran is playing very well right now. McNealy has finished inside the top 15 four times in his last seven starts, including a T10 at the Farmers Insurance Open and a T13 at the WM Phoenix Open the last two weeks. At both these events, McNealy gained strokes across the board.
Michael Thorbjornsen ($8,600)
Thorbjornsen makes his return to Pebble Beach this week, which is his first start at the famous venue since he made the cut at the 2019 U.S. Open as a 17-year-old amateur. Since then, Thorbjornsen has become a steady player on the PGA TOUR, who sits at a career-best No. 43 in the world golf rankings. The 24-year-old is on the heels of a T3 finish at the WM Phoenix Open last week, marking his ninth made cut and fifth top-20 finish in his last 10 starts. Thorbjornsen ranks 10th in Total Strokes Gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and he ranks 11th in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 50-125 yards this season, which sets him up perfectly for Pebble Beach Golf Links. Over the last five years, 31.6% of the approach shots at this track have come from this distance.

DraftKings $7,000 Range
Jake Knapp ($7,900)
The smooth-swinging Knapp has been on a roll to begin this season, finishing T11th, T5th, and T8th in his first three starts of 2026. Knapp has shot under par in all but one of these 12 rounds, and he ranks seventh on the PGA TOUR in Total Strokes Gained. Knapp looks poised to claim his second PGA TOUR title soon, and he is an elite value at this sub-$8,000 salary. Knapp finished T33rd at last year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but returning to the track 45 spots higher in the world golf rankings, it’s safe to expect a much better finish from him this week.
Ryan Gerard ($7,500)
Gerard is playing the best golf of his career right now, and we shouldn’t hesitate to roster him with this being his first attempt at Pebble Beach. After finishing runner-up at three consecutive events, Gerard cooled off a little but still finished T11th at the Farmers Insurance Open. Gerard has shot under par in each of these past 16 rounds, and he ranks seventh in par-5 performance this season, which is a great sign for a traditional par 72 like Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Sahith Theegala ($7,300)
Theegala’s impressive play to start this season earned him the final sponsor’s exemption spot for this week, and the surging 28-year-old should take full advantage of the opportunity. After a poor season in 2025, Theegala isn’t guaranteed PGA TOUR status for 2027, so he has been extremely focused to have a bounce-back season in 2026, and he hasn’t disappointed, finishing T8th, T7th, and T18th in his first three starts. Theegala has gained strokes on approach and with his putter at back-to-back events, and he has the potential for a career-best finish at Pebble Beach this week. In three starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Theegala’s best result is a T20 two years ago.
Sam Stevens ($7,000)
Stevens is an awesome bargain at this low price tag. The 29-year-old has finished T34th and T17th in his two starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and he has finished no worse than T36th in five straight starts, including two top-10 finishes. Stevens has gained strokes on approach in each of these past five starts, and he ranks 29th in par-5 performance this season.

DraftKings $6,000 and Below Range
Jacob Bridgeman ($6,900)
Bridgeman has been great in 2026, finishing T4th, T13th, and T18th, with that latter finish coming at last week’s WM Phoenix Open. Bridgeman has gained strokes on approach and with his putter at all of these tournaments, and he has shot under par in all but one of these 12 rounds. Bridgeman impressively ranks 11th in Total Strokes Gained on the PGA TOUR this season, and he has top-20 upside in his Pebble Beach debut this week.
