Saints-Cardinals Same Game Parlay: NFL Player Prop Picks, Over/Under, More, Using Parlay IQ for Thursday Night Football

After a couple of disappointing Thursday Night Football matchups, bettors finally have something to be excited about as the New Orleans Saints travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in Week 7. The Saints have made the most with the least over the past few weeks, using secondary and tertiary players to put up big scores on their opponents. We’re riding the hot hands and going for the bag tonight.

As usual, we’ve used the ScoreAndOdds Parlay Simulator to develop a three-leg parlay that’s expected to yield positive results.

Saints vs. Cardinals Same Game Parlay Picks

For those who aren’t familiar, ScoresAndOdds recently released a new tool to set up same-game parlays on various sportsbooks called Parlay IQ.

This simple-to-use tool quickly shows which bets are positive expected value (+EV) in any game based on their thousands of game simulations.

If you are building a same-game parlay — as you add bets to your slip — the Parlay IQ tool will update with other bet suggestions that are most likely to hit based on your selected bets.

Now, let’s get into what I am targeting tonight.

Saints Moneyline +118

Although the Saints only have one win over their past four games, their offense has been proliferating. New Orleans has outgained their opponents in three of their past four outings, putting up an average of 400.3 yards per game over that stretch. That’s elevated the Saints to the fifth-best total offense in the NFL.

Additionally, they’re putting up points to back up their increased yardage, with the Saints recording 25 or more points in three straight games. Even with the increase in output over their recent sample, we’re anticipating further growth from New Orleans, as their scoring metrics are below what we would expect from a team that moves the ball this easily.

We’ve also seen an improved effort from New Orleans’ defense recently. The 17th-ranked total defense has improved its standing over its past four games, allowing an average of 330.3 yards per game, dropping its season-long mean to 342.8. They’re not going to face a sincere challenge from the Cardinals, who have failed to deliver a meaningful offensive performance all season. Moreover, Kyler Murray will be without his favorite target on Thursday night.

The loss of Marquise Brown will be offset by the return of DeAndre Hopkins, who has finished serving his six-game suspension. Nevertheless, the Saints are already at game speed, and the timing of the Cardinals’ attack will continue to suffer. Sharp money is on the visitors.

Taysom Hill Over 30.5 Rushing Yards

It’s been an all-hands-on-deck situation for the Saints as they work past injuries to several key players. Taysom Hill has stood out as an elite contributor and should blow past his lowly 30.5 rushing yard prop.

According to Pro Football Focus, Hill has been the pre-eminent player on offense for New Orleans. The quasi-tight end has played all over the field but has earned a reputation for taking off in the running game while lining up in a wildcat-esque formation.

Lately, Hill has become more of a focus in the running game, carrying the ball 14 times over the last two weeks. He’s accumulated 151 yards on the ground, breaking off runs longer than 30 yards in both contests.

Since Week 5, the Cardinals have allowed 275 rushing yards, with four different players surpassing the 40-yard threshold. That leaves little doubt that Hill will exceed his modest total on Thursday Night Football.

Juwan Johnson Any Time Touchdown Scorer +420

Juwan Johnson has yet to find the endzone this season, but according to the ScoreAndOdds Parlay Simulator, that could change against Arizona. At +420, there is a 9% edge in targeting Johnson to get on the board.

Johnson has come into focus in the Saints’ passing game. The tight end played a season-high 56 snaps against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, tying his high mark with four receptions and earning his best player grade of the campaign.

Those metrics could increase against a Cardinals team susceptible to the pass. The NFC West basement dwellers rank in the league’s bottom half in passing yards allowed and have let tight ends walk all over them this season. Tight ends have been the leading pass-catchers in both of Arizona’s last two games.

Johnson’s ceiling takes a giant leap with Adam Trautman not available Thursday. We’re playing that advantage and including him as an any-time touchdown scorer against Arizona.
