Point Guard

Stud

Luka Doncic ($11,000) has the highest floor/ceiling combo on the slate. He’s played 44, 36, and 34 minutes this series, hucking up 30, 22, and 25 shots for a usage rate of 41.6% in this series. He’s a threat to triple-double on any given night and has 70-DraftKings-points upside, something he did 12 times during the regular season with two of those over 80. In this series, Luka has gone for 75, 52.75, and 59.75 DraftKings points. HalleLuka!

Value

Tyler Herro ($6,100) isn’t the cheapest, but he’s the lowest-priced value piece that I feel comfortable utilizing. Herro is the microwave off the bench for the Heat, and there’s a reason why he won the Sixth Man of the Year award. His usage rate has been 27%, 19%, and 32% in this series. He’s attempted 17, 10, and 15 shots, putting up 38.75, 35, and 20.5 DraftKings points.

Fast Break

Jalen Brunson ($6,600) is the Robin to Luka’s Batman. In Game 3, he shot 10-for-21 from the field for 28 points and 42.5 DraftKings points. The usage rate was 32% and 25% in the first two games. He did shoot only 25% and 37% from the field in those games, but during the regular season, he converted an impressive 49% of his attempts.

Shooting Guard

Stud

Devin Booker ($8,400) is coming off a 29-DraftKings-points game in Game 3 where he only attempted 13 shots in 40 minutes. Dallas was impressive defensively, holding the Suns to a league-low 94 points. I’d expect Booker to bounce back and get back closer to 20 shots. In the first two games, he attempted 19 and 20 shots, going for 44.5 and 48.25 DraftKings points.

Value

Max Strus ($4,600) entered the starting lineup a month ago and has essentially sent Duncan Robinson to warming the bench. Strus has played 33, 27, and 27 minutes this series and attempted eight, six, and 11 shots. He’s primarily a 3-and-D player and racked up one block and three steals in Game 3. He’s athletic and isn’t simply a spot-up shooter, as he can take it strong to the rack and finish. He’s scored at least 20 DraftKings points in each of the last two games.

Fast Break

Reggie Bullock ($5,200) has seen his minutes, shot attempts, and DraftKings-points production increase in every game this series. He’s gone from 33 to 37 to 41 minutes, seven to eight to 10 three-point attempts, and 17 to 25 to 31 DraftKings points. Bullock is a true 3-and-D player. He’s going to be on the court a ton, and playing alongside Luka, Bullock is going to get plenty of good looks.

Small Forward

Stud

Jimmy Butler ($8,900) has gone for over 50 DraftKings points in each of the last two games. His usage rate has been 36% and 25%. He’s racked up at least two steals in the last seven games he’s played and will grab rebounds while being the primary option on offense. He does have triple-double upside, although he’s accomplished the feat only 10 times in his career. With the Heat getting spanked by 20 points in Game 3, I expect them to bounce back with Butler being a big reason why.

Value

Dorian Finney-Smith ($5,500) only played 20 minutes in Game 2 due to foul trouble and the blowout. In the other two games, he played over 40 minutes and attempted 10 and 15 shots. Finney-Smith is a low-usage player who chips in a little bit in every category. With teams focused on Luka, Finney-Smith has been getting plenty of good looks. He’s gone for 25 and 26 DraftKings points in the two games he played over 40 minutes.

Fast Break

Reggie Bullock ($5,200) — see above

Power Forward

Stud

Tobias Harris ($7,000) has been Steady Eddie for the 76ers. He’s put up 37, 41, and 37 DraftKings points this series while attempting 18, 17, and 13 shots. His usage rate range has been between 20% to 30%, and Harris has delivered the fantasy goodies in a variety of ways. He fell two assists shy of a triple-double in Game 3, while fours were wild in Game 2 with four rebounds, four assists, and four steals. The ceiling may not be particularly high, but the floor is solid.

Value

PJ Tucker ($4,100) doesn’t have a high ceiling or floor. He has played 28, 26, and 35 minutes, though, and scored 19 and 20.75 DraftKings points in two games this series. He will usually grab some rebounds, rack up a few steals, and drain the few open looks he gets. The floor is single-digit DraftKings points, but he will be on the floor a ton.

Fast Break

Cameron Johnson ($4,200) has seen his playing time shrink over the last two games. He’s played 16 and 17 minutes and attempted only four and six shots. But he can heat up in a hurry and force coach Monty Williams to extend his minutes, and he’s extremely cheap for his upside.

Stud

Joel Embiid ($9,800) returned for Game 3 and put up 36.75 DraftKings points. While the fantasy production wasn’t great, his impact at both ends of the floor was huge, as he opened up things offensively for his teammates and neutralized Bam Adebayo on defense. He’s scored fewer than 40 DraftKings points in three of the last four games he’s played. That said, he has 80-DraftKings-points upside.

Value

Javale McGee ($3,500) has played 14, 10, and 14 minutes this series. He likely won’t play more than that, but he averages 1.29 DraftKings points per minute and has put up 12.75, 15, and 16.25 DraftKings points. If you need salary relief, McGee is a decent option. And if Deandre Ayton gets injured or into foul trouble? Then McGee could get to 20 minutes.

Fast Break

Bam Adebayo ($7,500) feasted in the first two games of the series, going for 51 and 40.25 DraftKings points. In Game 3, he was held to 16.75 DraftKings points. The return of Embiid was one reason, but having Kyle Lowry back also impacted his usage on offense. Both players will likely play again on Sunday, but Adebayo still provides plenty of upside.
