CS:GO DFS Projections for Friday, May 1: Can Liquid Get Back on Track Against FURIA?

Friday’s slate is one of redemption. Two of the heavier favorites on the slate — Team Liquid and Bad News Bears — are both looking to avenge disappointing losses, while Envy looks to continue to play the spoiler role. It’s another six-gamer on tap with several of the world’s top teams in action.

CS:GO DFS Notes for Friday, May 1

DraftKings

  • The most interesting team on Friday’s slate has to be Team Liquid, who lost as -1000 favorites to Envy on Wednesday. Though that was a concerning result for the world’s No. 5 team, Liquid had racked up five straight wins before Wednesday’s upset. With that being said, they are slated to face FURIA, a team that defeated Liquid 2-1 on March 29. Liquid is currently listed as a -210 favorite and they are led by EliGE, whose 67.5 projection ranks third-best on the slate. EliGE’s $10,000 price tag is down $600 since Wednesday making him an attractive buy.
  • The betting markets are expecting a close battle between mousesports and FaZe Clan with the line hovering near pick’em. This would normally be a spot to shy away from, but these are two of the top 10 teams in the world and salaries have been adjusted down for several members of each team. In particular, frozen is down $800 for mousesports while NiKo’s $9,600 price tag is down $600 following his 36-point dud against Movistar Riders. I like the idea of playing either/or stacks from this game in order to gain exposure to some of the world’s best players at discounted prices.
  • One gross play to consider is kRYSTAL of GODSENT, who is the cheapest player on the entire slate at $4,000. kRYSTAL’s 15.4% kill share is also lowest on the slate, so the bargain bin pricing does make sense to some degree. However, with GODSENT listed as a -265 favorite, there is certainly a case to be made for holding your nose and clicking on kRYSTAL’s name.
  • Bad News Bears have failed to win a single set over their past two matchups against MIBR and FURIA, but the betting markets are expecting the American squad to rebound against YeaH Gaming as -315 favorites. Top fraggers dapr and jonji both project well, making Bad News Bears a stack target that may go under-owned due to the ugly recent game logs.

FanDuel

  • FanDuel continues to disagree with DraftKings on FalleN’s salary. Consistently priced as one of the most expensive players on DraftKings, Fallen’s $10,500 price tag at FanDuel has not budged over MIBR’s past three matches. On Friday’s slate, that makes him the 15th-most expensive player. Operating as a heavy favorite against Envy, FalleN is simply too cheap.
  • Allu’s salary also sticks out at $11,200. The most expensive player at DraftKings, allu checks in as the ninth-most expensive player on FanDuel ahead of ENCE’s matchup with Dignitas. Allu’s kill share is second on the slate behind only EliGE and he has as good a shot as anyone to lead the slate in fantasy scoring.
