PGA DFS: Top Cash Game Picks for the Wyndham Championship

Sedgefield Country Club (par 70, 7,131 yards, Bermuda greens) in Greensboro, North Carolina, is hosting the Wyndham Championship. Sedgefield has been the home of the Wyndham Championship since 2008, and this venue was designed by Donald Ross, just like last week’s Detroit Golf Club for the Rocket Classic. Cameron Young (-22) is the defending champion of the Wyndham Championship, after winning by six shots last season. The Wyndham Championship is the final event before the FedExCup Playoffs, and only the top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings will advance to next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship. The Wyndham Championship is hosting 145 golfers, and there will be a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

I’ll be highlighting the best cash game/single-entry plays on the DraftKings main slate, but these players are often great options in any contest.

The following players listed are based on DraftKings scoring and pricing.

PGA DFS Cash Game Thoughts

DraftKings $10,000 Range

Cameron Young ($10,400)

Young is the heavy favorite to win this week, with field-best +810 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, and it’s shocking to see him priced this low. Young won the Wyndham Championship by six strokes last season after finishing T22 in his debut at Sedgefield the year prior. He’s twice shot an 8-under 62 at this par 70, and he ranks first in this field in Strokes Gained per round at Sedgefield. Since that Wyndham win last season, Young has won twice more this season and finished inside the top 10 eight times, most recently with a runner-up at the Open Championship and a T8 at the Rocket Classic in his last two starts. He’s the No. 3 ranked player in the world, making him the highest-ranked player in this field by 16 spots. Young would have been viable at $12,000, and at only $10,400, he’s a priority for cash games.

DraftKings $9,000 Range

Hideki Matusyama ($9,500)

Matsuyama is playing outstanding golf with the FedEx Cup Playoffs on the horizon. The former Masters champion has finished T14, T14, T3, and T5 in his last four starts. That T5 came at last week’s Rocket Classic, where Matsuyama gained a season-best 7.4 strokes on approach at Detroit Golf Club, then carded a 6-under 64 in his final round at the Ross design. The 34-year-old has shot 68 or lower in seven straight rounds, and his excellent play should continue at Sedgefield. He has missed 5-of-9 cuts at this course, but Matsuyama has finished T19 or better the four times he has made the cut, including a T3 in 2016. Sedgefield’s approach shots over the last five years have come from 150-175 yards out 23.5% of the time, and Matsuyama ranks 16th in proximity to the hole from this distance this season.

Ben Griffin ($9,100)

Ben Griffin missed the cut at the Rocket Classic by one stroke last week, but he still gained strokes on approach and with his putter at Detroit Golf Club. Griffin had only missed one cut in his previous 13 starts before last week, recording seven top-25 finishes during that span. He ranks 11th in SG: Total when comparing this field’s last 24 rounds, and he should rebound in a big way at Sedgefield. Griffin has finished fourth, MC, T7, and T11 in his four starts at this track, and he ranks fifth in this field in Strokes Gained per round at Ross courses.

DraftKings $8,000 Range

Aaron Rai ($8,800)

Rai is coming off missed cuts at the Genesis Scottish Open and Open Championship, but returning to Sedgefield is exactly what the doctor ordered to get him back on track. Rai won by two strokes at Sedgefield two years ago and finished T5 at this venue last season. He just won the PGA Championship at Aronimink GC in May, a course that, like Sedgefield, was designed by Ross. Rai is a true savant for Ross courses, leading this field in Strokes Gained per round at venues created by the famous architect. He has made seven of his last 10 cuts with five top-25 finishes, and he ranks second in driving accuracy this season, which is a great sign for Sedgefield, where being in the fairway is a big advantage. Four years running, the winner at Sedgefield has finished the event top-15 in driving accuracy.

Davis Thompson ($8,400)

Thompson is another Ross course expert. He has improved in each of his last three starts at Sedgefield, finishing T22, T12, and T11. He also finished runner-up at Detroit Golf Club in 2024 and T8 at the course last week. Thompson ranks fourth in this field in Strokes Gained per round at Ross venues, and his T8 at the Rocket Classic last week comes after he finished T7 at the 3M Open two weeks ago. At both tournaments, he gained strokes on approach and shot 68 or lower in every round. Thompson is on fire right now, and he shouldn’t slow down at Sedgefield.

DraftKings $7,000 Range

Blades Brown ($7,800)

Brown is flourishing right now. Between the PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour, he has made 13 straight cuts with 11 top-25 finishes during that streak. Brown has finished inside the top six at back-to-back Korn Ferry Tour events, and he currently sits at a career-best No. 94 in the world golf rankings, 387 spots higher than his ranking to begin 2026. He has shot under par in 13 consecutive rounds, and the rising star should have a great Wyndham Championship debut this week.

Sungjae Im ($7,700)

Im has been exceptional at Sedgefield, never missing a cut in seven starts and finishing T27 or better six times. He finished runner-up in 2022 and inside the top-10 in both 2019 and 2020. Im ranks 11th in this field in Strokes Gained per round at Sedgefield, and he returns to the venue with two top-15 finishes in his last three starts. He finished T15 at Detroit Golf Club this past week, and for the first time this season, he gained strokes in every major category.

Matt Wallace ($7,500)

Wallace has made three straight cuts at Sedgefield, with his last two both being top-30 results, and the Englishman is in great form right now. He has made 11 of his last 13 cuts and is fresh off a T5 at the Rocket Classic last week. Wallace gained strokes across the board at Detroit Golf Club, and the highlight of his week was a 6-under 64 in the second round. Looking to build off this, he could be in store for a career-best showing at Sedgefield.

Chris Kirk ($7,400)

Kirk has made three cuts in a row, most recently with a T8 at last week’s Rocket Classic while gaining strokes in every major category at Detroit Golf Club. The veteran ranked 11th in SG: Approach for the week, and now he makes his way to Sedgefield, where he has made eight of his last nine cuts, including a T5 last season. Kirk ranks 11th in this field in Strokes Gained per round at Ross courses, and he’s a tough value to pass up at this low price tag.

DraftKings $6,000 Range

Patrick Fishburn ($6,700)

Fishburn has only failed to make the cut once in his last nine starts and has finished inside the top-30 twice over that time. He now heads to Sedgefield, where he finished T8 last season, including back-to-back 5-under 65s to conclude the event. While we can’t expect this type of result again, Fishburn has top-30 upside.

Mark Hubbard ($6,600)

Hubbard thrived at Sedgefield last season, finishing T3 while shooting a 7-under 63 in the first and last rounds. The veteran has made five of his last seven cuts at Sedgefield, and he enters this week as the maker of eight of his last 10 cuts. Hubbard finished a mediocre T61 at Detroit Golf Club this past week, but he ranked 13th in SG: Approach for the event, so his ball striking is trending up, and he should at the minimum make the cut at Sedgefield this week.
