Week 15 NFL DFS QB Breakdown: Top Picks, Values, and Sleepers on DraftKings and FanDuel

In this piece, I highlight quarterbacks who stand out in our large suite of analytical fantasy tools, most specifically, our FantasyLabs Player Models. While the models are built for DFS contests, this is an all-purpose fantasy article with actionable information for all formats.

As news breaks throughout the week and we adjust our projections (powered by Sean Koerner), player ratings in our Player Models will change as the projections change. For updates, visit the models directly.

And don’t forget about the tools that FantasyLabs has to offer, like our Lineup Optimizer to effortlessly create up to 300 lineups, or use our Lineup Builder if you like to hand-build your lineups.

Finally, make sure to check out all the projections available for purchase (Chris Raybon’s come included with a FantasyLabs subscription) within the FantasyLabs Models. Subscribers now have the option to purchase Derek Carty’s THE BLITZ from our Marketplace. Projections from One Week Season and Establish the Run are available if you’re a subscriber to those specific sites (our optimizer is a separate add-on feature).

Top Model NFL DFS Quarterback Picks

Matthew Stafford ($6,000 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel): Los Angeles Rams (-6.5) vs. Washington Commander (50.5 total)

Matthew Stafford has turned it on as of late, with over 22 DraftKings points in three straight games. Two of these performances came against top-tier defenses in the Browns and Ravens. He’s combined for 573 passing yards and six touchdowns over the past two weeks without a turnover.

Stafford was struggling to get into the end zone over the first half of the year, with just one game of multiple touchdowns between Weeks 1-11. He’s now thrown three or more touchdowns in three straight games and has Los Angeles right back in the thick of the NFC playoff race.

Washington has allowed the second-most DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks and has allowed multiple passing touchdowns in ten games. Washington hasn’t been able to do anything on defense recently, giving up 121 points over their last three games.

Stafford popped all over the place this week, ranking as the top quarterback in both our Cash Game and Tournament Model, and both Sean Koerner and Chris Raybon’s Pro Models. He laps the position in Projected Plus/Minus and Points/Salary as well.

Other Notable NFL DFS Quarterback Picks

Dak Prescott ($8,000 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel): Dallas Cowboys (+2) at Buffalo Bills (50.5 total)

Dak Prescott is looking like one of the lowest-owned options at the quarterback position this weekend. Dallas’ offense has been rolling, with 30+ points in five straight games. Buffalo does boast a solid defense, allowing the 12th-fewest DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

However, I’m trusting Dallas’ high-octane offense this week. This game will likely have fireworks, with two teams heavily incentivized to win. Dak has at least 28 DraftKings points in three of his past five games, and I’m expecting another great performance.

Sam Howell ($6,300 DraftKings, $7,700 FanDuel): Washington Commanders (+6.5) at Los Angeles Rams (50.5 total)

Regardless of the game flow or how many points Washington scores, it seems like Sam Howell is just a lock for 20+ DraftKings points. He’s topped 20 DraftKings points in six straight games, including a 34.98-point performance against the Eagles in Week 8. Washington mustered just 10 and 15 points the past two weeks, while Howell, once again, topped 20 on DraftKings.

Los Angeles has allowed the eighth-most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks on the year. Joe Flacco, Lamar Jackson, and Kyler Murray have posted solid scores against the Rams recently. Howell is a viable tournament option across from Stafford who will likely garner a lot of ownership.

Jordan Love  ($6,200 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel): Green Bay Packers (-3.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (42 total)

Jordan Love was starting to cook and move in the right direction before crashing back down to earth against the Giants on Monday night football. To be fair, it was a little windy; he was without his top receiving option, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks left the game with an ankle injury. Regardless, it wasn’t a great performance for Love.

Love now faces a Tampa Bay defense that got shredded by Desmond Ridder last week. Since their bye in Week 5, Tampa Bay has allowed the seventh-highest completion rate and second-most yards per attempt to opposing quarterbacks. They’ve allowed the fifth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks, as most teams have to go pass-heavy to move the ball against them.

My Favorite NFL DFS Quarterback Leverage Pick(s)

Josh Allen ($8,200 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel): Buffalo Bills (-2) vs. Dallas Cowboys (50.5 total)

I’m very high on Prescott and this game as a whole, but Josh Allen once again finds himself as my favorite quarterback of the weekend. His designed rush attempts have gone up as of late, and they still practically need to win every game.

I’m expecting this game to shoot out. It is worth noting that these are strong defenses, and there are certain paths for this game to not reach expectations. However, I’m a believer in the offenses, and Allen has been on fire. He has 20+ DraftKings points in six of his last seven games, and he boasts the highest ceiling projection on the slate.

Most people are opting for some savings at the quarterback position with Stafford and Howell, but I’m opting to search for ceiling, and am high on Allen here.
