Indiana still leans heavily on the run. The Hoosiers average 253 rushing yards per game, and Turbo Richard just ran for a career-high 204 yards in a 47-15 win over Rutgers. TCU transfer Josh Hoover kept the passing game efficient in that win, completing 20 of 27 attempts for 251 yards and four touchdowns.

Nebraska’s offense is why this game is more competitive than the rankings alone suggest. Virginia transfer Anthony Colandrea produced 346 total yards and threw three touchdowns in a 48-23 win over Maryland last week, when the Huskers scored the final 34 points. Nebraska has reached 48 points in three of its five games.

The injury picture creates advantages on both sides. Indiana is without tight end Andrew Barker, running back Khobie Martin and cornerback Carson Williams, while receiver LeBron Bond is questionable. Corner A.J. Harris is expected to return after missing time since Week 1, which helps against Colandrea.

Nebraska is thin at linebacker, with Jase Reynolds and Jacob Bower out and Gage Stenger doubtful. That’s a difficult matchup against an Indiana offense averaging 253 rushing yards per game. Running back Jamal Rule has returned to practice for the Huskers.
