NFL DFS Picks: Top OwnersBox Plays in Week 11

Tua scores fantasy football points

OwnersBox is one of the unique DFS sites that still has traditional daily salary cap contests in addition to their Lightning Lineups contests.

In Lightning Lineups, the OwnersBox app will provide three sets of lineups for a given sport and slate, each lineup with three players. From there, users pick which lineup they think will score the most points. If you don’t like the options, you can spin for new lineups.

Spin. Pick. Win. OwnersBox innovative Lighting Lineups format is the most electric way to play daily fantasy sports.

Another reason to sign up with OwnersBox is their current Big Game Giveaway promotion. When you enter a lineup, you’ll earn “giveaway entries” for their Big Game drawing. What can you win? Two FRONT ROW tickets to Super Bowl LVIII + a VIP Fan Experience + Meet & Greets + Flights & Accommodations — over $40K in value!

Also, our OwnersBox promo code delivers new users a $500 sign-up offer. Their 100% deposit match up to $500 is by far the best among DFS sites.

Anyway, this article will focus on the more traditional salary cap DFS lineups that we’re all accustomed to. The best part about OwnersBox is their DFS product is a Superflex format with no defense.

I’ll be highlighting my favorite play at each position using our NFL projections inside our NFL Player Models.

NFL DFS Quarterback Pick

Tua Tagovailoa ($6,800) vs. Las Vegas Raiders

There are 22 teams in action on the main slate on Sunday afternoon on OwnersBox, and of all the players available, Tua Tagovailoa has the best Pts/Sal. In the SuperFlex format of OwnersBox, it’s especially important to compare position to position to make sure you’re spending up where you should. This week, the top five players in Pts/Sal are all quarterbacks, and Tua leads the way.

Tua has the second-highest median projection and the highest ceiling projection of all quarterbacks on the slate. He is only the fourth-most expensive option, though, which is why his value projects so favorably.

The Dolphins lost two of their last three games before their bye week to the Eagles and the Chiefs, but they return at home in a soft matchup against the Raiders. They have the highest implied team total on the slate and will be looking to get their offense back in top form to establish themselves as a legitimate contender once again.

Tua has averaged 289.9 passing yards per game in his nine games this season and 300.8 yards per game in his four home games. In those home games, he has thrown 12 touchdowns and just three interceptions, with multiple passing scores in every home contest.

Miami should be back to full strength with De’Von Achane (knee) expected to return from IR, and Tua should have all his playmakers back in place as he gets the offense churning again for the stretch run. The dynamic offense has a high ceiling, which means Tua has a chance to go off with a monster game.

NFL DFS Running Back Pick

Tony Pollard ($6,000) at Carolina Panthers

The Cowboys’ offense has caught fire the past few weeks, but Pollard has been left out of the fun so far. That is projected to change this week, though, when he has the highest Pts/Sal projections of all running backs. He has the third-highest ceiling and median projection of all running backs but only has the 13th-highest highest RB salary.

Despite Dallas’s success, Pollard hasn’t found the end zone since all the way back in Week 1. He continues to get a good workload with at least 12 carries in each of the past four games and an average of 15 carries per game on the season. He has at least 50 rushing yards in each of the last three weeks since the Cowboys’ bye week and has totaled four catches in those games as well.

If he continues to get the chances, he should be poised for a big game this week against the Panthers, who have given up the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season. Opposing running backs have 15 touchdowns in nine games against the Panthers and have averaged 118.1 rushing yards per game.

If the Cowboys play from ahead as expected, Pollard’s role as the primary running back could finally lead to his breakout game this week on the road. Like the Dolphins, the Cowboys are trying to prove their offense is ready for a playoff run, and getting Pollard going will be a key to their stretch run success.

NFL DFS Wide Receiver Pick

Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7,100) vs. Chicago Bears

The Lions have the second-highest implied team total on this slate and have continued to establish themselves as legitimate NFC contenders. St. Brown has emerged as one of the stars of their offense and has the fourth-highest ceiling projection of all wide receivers this week and is also tied for the fourth-highest Pts/Sal.

St. Brown has surpassed 100 yards receiving in four straight games and in six of his past seven contests. On the season, he is averaging 102.6 yards per contest. He carries a heavy workload, with 8.1 catches on 10.8 targets per game.

The Bears rank in the middle of the pack in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers, and opposing receivers have scored 10 touchdowns against them in 10 games. St. Brown should be set up for another busy week as long as the game doesn’t get too lopsided too early.

Of all the top options at receiver, St. Brown has been the most consistent when available. He’s a great play again this week at home against Chicago.

If you’re looking for some less pricey options, Tank Dell, Jaylen Waddle, and Michael Wilson are also in the top five for Pts/Sal and should be able to give your team a boost from their price point as well.

NFL DFS Tight End Pick

Trey McBride ($4,200) at Houston Texans

McBride brings the highest Pts/Sal of all tight ends this week. He also has the highest median and ceiling projections, even though he only has the ninth-highest salary at the position.

The second-year tight end from Alabama posted a career-high 131 yards last week against the Falcons in the triumphant return of Kyler Murray. Over the last three weeks, McBride has worked with three different quarterbacks and has been highly targeted by all three of them. McBride’s success and high usage are much more a result of his role in the offense of Cardinals’ offensive coordinator Drew Petzing.

In each of his last five games, McBride has at least five targets while averaging 5.6 catches on 7.8 targets per week. He had a 10-catch game, a 100-yard game, and his first touchdown of the season during that span and has been a great fantasy play with the exception of a down week with Clayton Tune under center.

With Murray working his way back to form, this offense should be much better moving forward, and McBride is a great play at tight end in his current role. This week, his matchup with the Texans is a good one. Opposing tight ends have scored the fifth-most fantasy points per game against the Cardinals while averaging 63.9 yards per game and scoring four touchdowns in nine contests, including three in the last three weeks.
