NBA DFS Point Guard Picks

Stud

Tre Jones ($6,900)

While Tre Jones doesn’t classify as a “stud” price-wise, he has the highest ceiling on the slate among point guards in our projections and is an elite value. For the second game in a row, the Bulls are going to be very shorthanded, most notably with Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Matas Buzelis (illness) out. With these two sidelined Sunday vs. the Suns, Jones flourished with 45.25 FPTS in 31 minutes while seeing a huge 30% usage rate. With Giddey and Buzelis off the floor this season, Jones is amassing 1.1 DraftKings PPM via the On/Off Tool. To put the icing on the cake, Jones is in a beautiful spot vs. the Wizards, who rank dead last in defensive rating and sixth in pace. Despite missing many key pieces, the Bulls carry the highest implied team total on the slate (128.5 points), and Jones is a must-play in this near-perfect situation.

Value

Nolan Traore ($5,400)

Nolan Traore has been a bright spot for the tanking Nets, scoring at least 26 DraftKings points in four of his last five, most recently with a 37 DraftKings point outing vs. the Wizards on Sunday. Since the All-Star Break, Traore is scoring 0.9 DraftKings PPM with a 27% usage rate. The rookie is going against a Bucks defense that ranks 28th in defensive rating since the All-Star break, and another effort of over 30 DraftKings points is a realistic possibility.

Fast Break

Quenton Jackson ($4,600) – Jackson is in a tough matchup vs. the Timberwolves, but he is still rating as a strong value at this low price. Starting with the Pacers understaffed, Jackson has scored 29.8 and 30.2 DraftKings points in his last two. Pascal Siakam (ankle) missed that latter game and will be out again tonight. With the forward sidelined, Jackson logged 28 minutes and saw a 29.3% usage rate.

NBA DFS Shooting Guard Picks

Stud

Collin Sexton ($6,300)

Just like Jones, Collin Sexton doesn’t come with a stud-like price tag, but his ceiling is the highest on the slate among shooting guards, thanks to the Bulls being depleted and in an elite spot vs. the Wizards. Sexton moved into Chicago’s starting lineup Sunday vs. the Suns with Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis out, and Sexton delivered 35.75 DraftKings points across 30 minutes with a 29.7% usage rate. Sexton generates 1.2 DraftKings PPM with Giddey and Buzelis off the court this season, and this $6,300 price tag by no means reflects the type of upside Sexton brings. In our projections, his ceiling is up to 55 DraftKings points, which ranks top five on the slate.

Value

Bones Hyland ($5,300)

Bones Hyland is facing a Pacers defense that ranks dead last in defensive rating since the All-Star Break, and more importantly, Anthony Edwards (knee) will remain out. Hyland scored 42 DraftKings points in 28 minutes off the bench with Edwards inactive Sunday vs. the Hornets, and Hyland has topped 30 DraftKings points in three of the past eight games Edwards has missed. Hyland is generating 1.0 DraftKings PPM with a 22% usage rate with Edwards off the court since the All-Star break. Hyland is best reserved for GPPs as a bench player, but he is a great target for that format that shouldn’t be too popular given he is a reserve.

Fast Break

AJ Green ($4,800)Ryan Rollins (hip) will be joining the Bucks’ lengthy inactive list tonight, and Green is facing a Nets defense that ranks 25th in rating this season. Rollins has missed three of the Bucks’ last five, and with him inactive, Green is scoring 28.1 DraftKings PPG.

NBA DFS Small Forward Picks

Stud

Ayo Dosunmu ($6,900)

With Anthony Edwards sidelined, Ayo Dosunmu is a strong value. The guard was held to 19.5 DraftKings points vs. the Hornets on Sunday, but Dosunmu is still averaging 36.5 DraftKings PPG with a 21.7% usage rate with Edwards inactive. Dosunmu has topped 40 DraftKings points in three of these six games sans Edwards, and over that threshold is possible tonight against a Pacers team that is tanking and ranks dead last in defensive rating since the All-Star Break.

Value

Jalen Wilson ($3,900)

Jalen Wilson moved into the Nets’ starting lineup Sunday vs. the Wizards and had his best game of the season, posting 33.75 DraftKings points across 25 minutes. Wilson handled a 21% usage rate, and he shot an efficient 4-of-6 from the field. Wilson should continue to start tonight, and if that is the case, he will be a tough punt play to avoid vs. the Bucks, who rank 26th in defensive rating since the All-Star break. Wilson is amassing 22.5 DraftKings PPG for the last five games he has logged over 20 minutes, and he is rating as the top small forward value on the slate in our projections.

Fast Break

Leonard Miller ($5,200) – Miller should draw his second straight start for the Bulls and is an excellent bargain against the lowly Wizards. In a tougher matchup Sunday vs. the Suns, Miller finished with 33.5 DraftKings points across 32 minutes as a starter. With Giddey and Buzelis off the floor this season, Miller is scoring 1.1 DraftKings PPM with a 19% usage rate.

NBA DFS Power Forward Picks

Stud

Jayson Tatum ($10,000)

Jayson Tatum (Achilles) continues to improve in each game, and he has looked like his former self lately, scoring over 50 DraftKings points in six consecutive games, most notably with a 73.5 DraftKings outburst vs. the Heat last week. Tatum notched a triple-double that night, and he has been flirting with a triple-double on a nightly basis recently. Tatum is generating 1.5 DraftKings PPM with a 30% usage rate this season, and he is facing a Hornets team he exposed for 54.75 DraftKings points last month. The Celtics need to win two more games to lock up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, and Tatum should score nothing less than 50 DraftKings points. At $10,000, the forward is the No. 1 stud on the slate.

Value

Kobe Brown ($4,400)

Kobe Brown has been productive for the tanking Pacers, producing at least 26 DraftKings points in five straight. The forward has started in three in a row, and with Pascal Siakam inactive this past Sunday vs. the Cavaliers, Brown posted 30.2 DraftKings points in a team-high 39.5 minutes. Siakam will remain out tonight, and while Brown is in a tough spot vs. the Timberwolves, who rank fifth in defensive rating this season, the former first-round pick is vastly underpriced for his expected role. This season, Brown is amassing 0.8 DraftKings PPM.

Fast Break

Obi Toppin ($4,300) – Toppin is going to see less work than Brown, making Brown the safer play, but Toppin is still a strong punt with Pascal Siakam missing. With the veteran out Sunday vs. the Cavaliers, Toppin went off for 40 DraftKings points in just 23 minutes off the bench. With Siakam off the court this season, Toppin is scoring 1.2 DraftKings PPM with a 24.6% usage rate.

NBA DFS Center Picks

Stud

Rudy Gobert ($7,200)

Rudy Gobert is projected for single-digit ownership on DraftKings in our models, and the big man has a ton of merit with Anthony Edwards sidelined vs. the Pacers. Gobert is scoring 37 DraftKings PPG with Edwards inactive this season (17 games), and Indiana is a great matchup for big men. Since the All-Star break, the Pacers rank dead last in defensive rating, seventh in rebounds allowed, and third in points in the paint allowed. Gobert should notch a double-double in this spot and exceed 5x value with ease.

Value

Guerschon Yabusele ($5,000)

Guerschon Yabusele has been starting at center for the Bulls with Jalen Smith (calf) out, and Yabusele has scored at least 26 DraftKings points in two of his four starts. The ex-Celtic is logging 28 minutes per game during this run, and Yabusele should see a similar workload tonight in the best possible matchup for a center vs. the Wizards. Washington ranks dead last in defensive rating, and it is allowing the most rebounds in the NBA this season. Yabusele is producing 0.9 DraftKings PPM this season, and he should easily outproduce his $5,000 salary. In our projections, Yabusele has a ceiling around 45 DraftKings points.

Fast Break

Kyle Filipowski ($7,300) – Filipowski (back) is questionable, but if he suits up, the big man will be a strong spend vs. the Pelicans. New Orleans ranks 22nd in defensive rating this season, and Filipowski has been on a roll for the Jazz, scoring over 40 DraftKings points in five of his last six.

E.J. Liddell ($3,500) – If Liddell draws his second start in a row for the Nets, he will make a ton of sense at this cheap salary vs. the Bucks. Starting for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Wizards, Liddell finished with 27.75 DraftKings points in 29 minutes.
