Projected and confirmed lineups for every game can be found on our MLB Daily Lineups page.

Mets (+164) at Nationals (-178) — 7:05 PM EST

Nationals in: Anthony Rendon (paternity)

The Nationals will welcome back Anthony Rendon from paternity leave. He’ll bat second for a lineup presently implied to score a very respectable 4.9 runs. Rendon is set up well against lefty Steven Matz, as he’s posted .078 wOBA and .136 ISO differentials vs. left-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. Overall, Rendon ranks among the main slate’s top-three third basemen in ISO and wOBA vs. southpaws over the past calendar year. He’s particularly in play on FanDuel, where his $3,700 price tag comes with a 70 percent Bargain Rating and a moderate 5-8 percent projected ownership rate. Matz will need to do a better job forcing hitters to keep the ball on the ground, as he’s one of just four pitchers in Tuesday’s main slate that have allowed a fly-ball rate above 50 percent over the past 15 days. He’s allowed at least four runs in each of his last three starts.

Orioles (+276) at Yankees (-306) — 7:05 PM EST

Orioles in: Jace Peterson

Orioles out: Jonathan Schoop (traded)

Jonathan Schoop has been scratched Tuesday, as he was traded to the Brewers in return for Jonathan Villar, Luis Ortiz, and Jean Carmona. The Orioles will roll with Tim BeckhamJace Peterson, and Adam Jones at the top of the order for their matchup against the Yankees. They’re presently implied to score a pedestrian 3.2 runs, as righty Masahiro Tanaka has pitched great in recent weeks. Overall, Tanaka has allowed three or fewer home runs five of his last six starts, and he’s posted a +4.96 FanDuel Plus/Minus with a 67 percent Consistency Rating over the past month. He’ll look to continue to limit big hits, as he’s allowed slate-low marks in average batted ball distance and fly-ball rate over the past 15 days. Tanaka has a great matchup against an Orioles lineup that has combined to post a mediocre .288 wOBA vs. righties over the past 12 months – the second-worst mark in Tuesday’s main slate. Exposure to Tanaka should be focused on Fanduel, where his $9,400 price tag comes with an 82 percent Bargain Rating and a +8.1 Projected Plus/Minus.

Phillies (+134) at Red Sox (-145) — 7:10 PM EST

Red Sox in: Ian Kinsler

Red Sox out: Mookie Betts

Ian Kinsler was traded to the Red Sox Tuesday morning, and he’ll bat sixth in their matchup against the Phillies. Mookie Betts will receive a routine day off. The Red Sox are presently implied to score an impressive 5.5 runs and boast top-four Team Value Ratings on both DraftKings and FanDuel. They boast potent bats throughout the lineup, as each of Andrew BenintendiBlake SwihartMitch MorelandJ.D. Martinez, Kinsler, Eduardo Nunez, and Jackie Bradley Jr. have posted positive ISO and wOBA splits vs. right-handed pitchers over the past 12 months. Swihart in particular is set up well on FanDuel, where he’s the highest rated catcher/first baseman in Tuesday’s main slate in the Bales Model. His $2,300 salary on FanDuel comes with a 90 percent Bargain Rating. Jake Arrieta will have his hands full with a Red Sox lineup that has combined to post a slate-high .397 wOBA vs. right-handed pitchers over the past calendar year. Both pitchers will have to deal with estimated wind gusts of six miles per hour blowing out to left field.
