NBA Trend of the Day: Thunder in Back-To-Backs

We truly believe here at FantasyLabs that we have the most unique tools and data available to DFS users. However, we also realize that those tools and data are only as awesome and helpful as our ability to effectively communicate how to use everything. As such, we will continually listen to feedback of what you need and try our best to teach our subscribers how to use all of the cool things we have to offer.

With this in mind, we’ve begun a “Trend of the Day” series. Every weekday we’ll walk our subscribers through an important trend for that day’s slate of games.

Let’s keep it simple, this being a four-game slate and all.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, for instance, logged 39 and 37 minutes last night on the first leg of a road back-to-back. Hell, even Serge Ibaka — a terrific tournament option given his most recent performance of 48.5 DraftKings points against the Warriors — logged 33 minutes before night’s end. With their matchup tonight against Golden State featuring an implied total +8.5 points greater than the next closest, it’s likely all of us will attempt to pay for one, if not both.

Therefore, it only makes sense to see how the Thunder have individually performed under such conditions, right?

Trend: Oklahoma City Thunder Average Plus/Minus in 2A of B2B

Step 1: Team Filters > Team > Set “Oklahoma City Thunder”

Step 2: Time Filters > B2B > Set “2A”

From the above image alone, we can see that Oklahoma City as a whole has failed to meet expectations by a minuscule -0.12 points in their first road game of a back-to-back, exceeding expectations the following night no matter the location.

By selecting “Player Name” in our Player Filters, we can now get a better glimpse of how each player on the Thunder have performed in this scenario over the last calendar year (the actual dates, of course, which can always be adjusted on your end by simply selecting “NBA Season” under Time Filters).

Good luck tonight!
