Daily Fantasy Football NFL DFS Picks: Landon’s Locks for Week 4

There are an abundance of tools at FantasyLabs to use for your NFL DFS lineups each week. Our most popular tools are our NFL Player Models, which house our NFL DFS projections from Sean Koerner.

You can use these projections in our models with our Lineup Builder to hand-build your lineups or use our Lineup Optimizer to effortlessly create up to 150 lineups for your NFL DFS tournaments.

In this article, we will go position by position, highlighting my favorite plays for both cash games and single-entry/three-max GPP contests. These plays are also viable in large field tournaments but do not focus on ownership percentages.

NFL DFS Quarterback Picks

Josh Allen ($8,400 DraftKings, $8,900 FanDuel) Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

I know you must be getting tired of seeing Josh Allen’s name at the beginning of this column every week, but until he gives us a reason to stop playing him, we will keep going back here. You can make the argument he’s got the best matchup he will see all season long this week against the Ravens.

They have been getting absolutely torched by opposing passing games, which started against Miami two weeks back when Tua Tagovailoa posted 461 yards and six touchdowns before Mac Jones also carved them up for 321 yards last week. That does not bode well when you have this Bills juggernaut offense off a bad loss coming to town.

Allen has gone over 30 DraftKings points in each of his three starts this season, and it’s hard to envision not hitting that mark again this week in this pristine spot.

Buffalo has the highest implied team total on the slate at 27.0.

Marcus Mariota (5,600 DraftKings, $7,300 FanDuel) Atlanta Falcons vs. Cleveland Browns

On the surface, it feels like this Browns defense should be elite, but through three weeks thus far they’ve been far from it, allowing the 11th most fantasy points to opposing signal callers. Mariota is dirt cheap on DraftKings this week at just $5,600, and as of now, Atlanta boasts a solid 23.0 implied team total.

We know his rushing floor is high and if the touchdowns flow through the passing game instead of Cordarrelle Patterson this week, he should easily pay off his salary.

Mariota is one of the better points per dollar QB plays on the slate.

NFL DFS Running Back Picks

Jamaal Williams ($6,100 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel) Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks

As usual, when D’Andre Swift misses time, Williams is the plug-and-play option of the week. DraftKings at least made us think about it, pricing him pretty appropriately at $6,100. The matchup, however, is too good to pass up as Seattle has been getting lit up by opposing running backs this year. Through three weeks, they’ve given up the fourth most DraftKings points, sixth most receptions, and fifth most receiving yards to the position.

We know the Lions like to use their backs in the passing game, and Williams has a floor of 15-20 total touches this week in a prime spot.

No need to overthink this one.

Khalil Herbert ($5,700 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel) Chicago Bears @ New York Giants

Everything said about Jamaal Williams could be applied to Herbert this week as well. In David Montgomery’s last few missed games, Hebert has stepped in admirably, especially last week where he absolutely gashed the Texans for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns. DraftKings did not price him high enough this week at just $5,700, and he is for sure going to be one of the highest owned running backs on the Week 4 main slate, even with the Bears low implied team total.

The bottom line is, we don’t fade a guaranteed 20+ touches for $5,700 in cash games, especially when you consider the Giants have given up 176 and 146 yards on the ground each of the past two weeks.

Play Herbert and differentiate elsewhere.

NFL DFS Wide Receiver Picks

Stefon Diggs ($8,400 DraftKings, $8,700 FanDuel) Buffalo Bills @ Baltimore Ravens

See the Josh Allen write-up above.

Stefon Diggs is the WR1 on the season and is averaging over five DraftKings points more than the next closest receiver (Amon-Ra St. Brown) on the Week 4 main slate. The Ravens over the past two weeks have allowed lines of 11/190/2 to Tyreek Hill, 11/171/2 to Jaylen Waddle, and most recently 5/156/0 to DeVante Parker. I am horrified about what Diggs is going to do this secondary on Sunday.

He is not cheap, but his ceiling is the highest of any player on the Week 4 main slate.

Diontae Johnson ($6,000 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel) Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets

Johnson has yet to pop for a huge game, but his usage has been off the charts to begin the season. He’s seen target totals of 12, 10, and 11 through his first three games and currently sits fourth in the NFL in target share and fifth in targets per route run. The Jets have allowed the 10th most DK points to opposing wideouts and are tied with the Falcons and Titans for most touchdowns allowed to the position.

Johnson is underpriced for his role on the PPR-friendly DraftKings and is primed for a big performance in this plum matchup at home against one of the worst teams in football.

CeeDee Lamb ($6,700 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel) Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders

Since Cooper Rush took over for Dak Prescott, Lamb has seen target totals of 12 and 11 in back-to-back games and now gets a bottom three pass defense at home in the dome. Washington has allowed the fifth most receptions, third-most receiving yards, and second most receiving touchdowns (tied with Ravens and Rams) through three games this season.

Lamb turned in his best game of the season last week against the Giants, posing eight catches for 87 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He also dropped what would’ve been at least a 40-yard reception on top of that, or his line would have looked even stronger.

He’s dominating targets right now in Big D and is underpriced thanks to playing on Monday night football.

NFL DFS Tight End Picks

Mark Andrews ($7,100 DraftKings, $8,300 FanDuel) Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

I almost never pay up for tight ends outside of tournament builds, but Andrews has become this generation’s Travis Kelce and has been on an absolute tear to start the year. He’s gone over 28 DraftKings points each of the past two weeks and is locked in as Lamar Jackson’s clear top receiving option. This game has the highest total on the main slate and Andrews is going to have to continue his recent play if the Ravens want to pull off the upset.

No one on this slate has the floor ceiling combo of Andrews, so if you are going to pay up at the position, make sure it’s for him

T.J. Hockenson ($4,100 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel) Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks

The entire Lions offense — including Hockenson — is banged up, but TJH is expected to suit up this week, while both of Detroit’s top offensive weapons(ARSB/D’Andre Swift) have been ruled out. This is usually more than I like paying at the tight end position, but it’s a somewhat unique situation this week with all the Lions’ injuries.

Hockenson saw seven targets each of the first two weeks before getting only four in Week 3, but he did post his first touchdown of the season in the game.

Seattle has been forgiving to opposing tight ends, allowing the ninth most DraftKings points to the position.
