CS:GO DFS Projections for Friday, April 17: Copenhagen Flames Have a New Look

cs go-dfs-draftkings-picks

Friday morning’s CS:GO slate brings us two more matches, this time from the Home Sweet Home Cup — Copenhagen Flames vs. Gambit Youngsters and SKADE vs. Endpoint.

Gambit Youngsters (-155) and SKADE (-140) are currently listed as the favorites.

CS:GO Notes for Friday, Apr. 17

  • Most importantly: do not play TeSeS on this slate. Although DraftKings priced him as the most expensive player on the entire slate, TeSeS left Copenhagen Flames to join Heroic last Wednesday. If you do roster TeSeS, you will get zero points and you will lose.
  • Replacing TeSeS on the CPHF roster is Queenix, who joins the team from Singularity. It’s a downgrade for the team as TeSeS bests Queenix in nearly every major statistical category, including Rating 2.0, Kill:Death Ratio, and Kills Per Round. From a DFS perspective, CPHF loses 23.4% of its team kills while adding Queenix, who had accounted for only 18.9% of Singularity’s kills over the past 10 matches. Without TeSeS, Farlig now leads CPHF in kill share and he could be an attractive target at $7,400.
  • HooXi is another interesting option, though one that should be limited to tournaments only. Priced as the cheapest player on the slate at $4,800, HooXi’s statistical profile leaves much to be desired. But with so much uncertainty surrounding CPHF’s new roster, it’s possible HooXi is forced to take on a more prominent role on the team moving forward.
  • Moving away from CPHF, sh1ro has the highest projection on the slate and it’s easy to see why. He ranks third on the slate in market share of team kills (22.24%), first in market share of team deaths (17.66%), and plays for Gambit Youngsters, the largest favorite on the slate.
  • Below TeSeS, Rainwaker has the most expensive salary on the slate at $8,800. Rainwaker is coming off an abysmal performance on Thursday against Winstrike in which he posted 18 kills against 36 deaths, tanking the 41.9% of lineups in DraftKings’ $15k Clutch tournament he appeared on (including mine). Still, Rainwaker‘s 22.8% kill share ranks tops on the slate and his projection of 78.44 is eclipsed only by sh1ro. Those who are willing to forgive Rainwaker‘s disappointing Thursday outing may be rewarded at lower-than-expected ownership on Friday.
