CFB DFS Quarterback Picks

Ty Simpson (Alabama Crimson Tide): $7,300 DraftKings

As alluded to, the Vanderbilt Commodores are one of those teams that have come out of the woodwork to have a stellar start to the campaign. However, all of that could unravel in what should be a one-sided Alabama Crimson Tide victory on Saturday. Ty Simpson has been a premier quarterback all season, but we expect him to find a new gear against Vandy.

Simply, Simpson has been a force in 2025. The junior pivot has already thrown for 1,138 yards and 11 touchdowns, precipitating the 12th-best QBR on the season. Moreover, we’ve seen him shine at Bryant-Denny Stadium, completing a whopping 89.1% of his passes this season while producing a mind-numbing 13.2 yards per pass attempt and a 250.4 quarterback rating.

Vanderbilt’s early-season success has been buoyed by elite offensive play, but they have yet to be tested defensively. Moreover, if their offense does live up to the hype, that forces Alabama to let Ty Simpson loose so he can continue to do his thing.

All signs point toward a convincing Alabama victory on Saturday, and that bodes well for Simpson’s fantasy stock. The Crimson Tide quarterback should have no problem living up to his billing as one of the top passing quarterbacks in the country and reaching his fantasy ceiling. He is a must-roster in any tournament or format.

Noah Fifita (Arizona Wildcats): $8,800 DraftKings

Any quarterback taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys is worth a look, but that’s especially true in Noah Fifita’s case. The Arizona Wildcats’ signal-caller has been unleashed in recent weeks, and we expect that increased usage to carry him to one of the best performances on the main slate.

Fifita is coming off a 48-pass attempt outing against Iowa State last time out. In that contest, he completed 32 passes for a 66.7% completion rating while finding the end zone twice. Combined with his six rushing attempts, he accounted for 75.0% of the Wildcats’ offensive plays. He’s poised for another strong showing against one of the worst defenses in the FBS.

The Cowboys have been hemorrhaging yards all season. Through four games, OK State ranks as the 131st total defense in the country, getting absolutely torched for 473.0 yards per game. They have been equally terrible against the passing and rushing attacks, playing into Fifita’s dual-threat abilities under center.

Arizona enters this Week 6 tilt as -20.5 chalk, and we expect the Wildcats to do everything to live up to that betting hype. With that, Noah Fifita is poised to set a new fantasy standard with a season-best performance.

CFB DFS Running Back Picks

Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame Fighting Irish) $9,800 DraftKings

While his overall production leaves something to be desired, Jeremiyah Love has been a scoring machine so far this season. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s bell cow has multiple scores in each of his last two outings, a trend that should persist against the Boise State Broncos on Saturday. Moreover, we have Love earmarked as a natural progression candidate, lending itself to his standing as the top projected running back on the main slate.

Love was held relatively in check last week. The junior had just 57 rushing yards on 14 carries, for 4.1 yards per rushing attempt. Predictably, that dropped his yearly average to 5.2, pointing toward inevitable correction over the coming weeks. Last season, Love managed a robust 6.9 yards per rushing attempt and has a career average of 6.2. Now in his upperclassman years, we are anticipating a sharp increase in his efficiency ratings as he works his way back up to the normal range.

That correction starts with this week’s battle versus Boise State. The Broncos’ defense doesn’t stand up particularly well against the run, giving up an average of 155.3 rushing yards per game. Last week, Appalachian State’s Rashod Dubinion burned the Broncos for 113 yards on just 17 carries. In doing so, he became the third rusher in two weeks to eclipse the century mark.

All signs point toward a standout effort from Jeremiyah Love on Saturday. We’re anticipating a slate-leading performance, a fact that is reflected in his median and ceiling projections.

Adam Randall (Clemson Tigers) $6,600 DraftKings

DFS punters can insulate their running back position with a top value candidate. Undeniably, Adam Randall is the Clemson Tigers’ bell cow out of the backfield, and the North Carolina Tar Heels don’t possess the defensive faculties to limit his production.

Already, Randall has been one of the top-performing running backs in the ACC. Through four games, the senior has churned out 338 yards on 57 rushing attempts for 5.9 yards per carry and three scores. Inarguably, his best performance came in Week 4, when Randall torched the Syracuse Orange for 130 yards on a meager 16 touches. Additionally, he pulled down seven receptions for 44 yards, making him one of the top fantasy producers without finding the end zone.

Inevitably, Randall’s fantasy appeal will continue to climb after Week 6’s clash versus the Tar Heels. UNC has struggled to contain opposing running backs, giving up 136.5 yards per game and 4.4 yards per rushing attempt, ranking 76th among FBS squads. Against FBS squads, those benchmarks climb to 200.5 and 6.0, respectively, leaving little doubt that Randall continues his recent assault.

The shine on the Clemson Tigers is starting to wear off, but that hasn’t come at Adam Randall’s expense. The running back is primed to continue his ascent and put together another showstopping performance on the road.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Picks

Chris Bell (Louisville Cardinals) $7,100

The Louisville Cardinals host the 24th-ranked Virginia Cavaliers in a pivotal ACC clash. The Cardinals are off to a 4-0 start this season, but they have yet to earn a marquee win to bolster their resume. We are predicting a solid offensive showing at home, which inevitably includes Chris Bell being deployed in their unrelenting aerial assault.

Miller Moss has been one of the best at distributing the ball, but his preferred target remains Chris Bell. The Mississippi native leads the team in targets (40), receptions (23), yards (332), and touchdowns (2). Captured in that are Bell’s 14.4 yards per reception and team-leading 83.0 yards per game.

As good as Virginia has been on offense, its defense remains unmistakably mid. The Cavaliers are giving up 207.0 passing yards per game, ranking 76th in the country. Last week, Duce Robinson went off for 147 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions, underscoring the holes in Virginia’s lackluster secondary. Eclipsing that could be nothing more than a formality for the Cardinals’ preferred wideout.

With each passing week, Bell solidifies his chemistry with Moss, enhancing his fantasy appeal in Week 6. The senior is ready to build off his 10-catch performance last time out and cement his position as an elite fantasy wide receiver.

Hank Beatty (Illinois Fighting Illini) $5,400

The Illinois Fighting Illini have begun their ascent as they try to reclaim their position as playoff contenders. Their offensive play hit a snag against Indiana a few weeks ago, but the Fighting Illini were able to get back on track with their latest effort. Settling into a Week 6 battle versus the Purdue Boilermakers, we should see another standout effort from Illinois wide receiver Hank Beatty.

Beatty was uncontainable earlier this season. In the first two weeks, the senior put up back-to-back 100-yard performances but has remained a top target each time out. He was targeted eight times in last week’s win versus USC, hauling in six receptions for 81 yards. In doing so, Beatty’s target share increased to a team-best 25.4%, with an even more impressive 81.8% catch rate.

As is typically the case, Purdue’s defense leaves a lot to be desired. They rank among the worst defensive performers in many categories, including yards and points allowed per game. Notre Dame went north of 500 yards in Purdue’s most recent showing, and USC topped 460 yards in the game prior to that.

Illinois needs to keep its foot on the pedal, and that includes heavy involvement from Beatty in its passing attack. He’s been one of the FBS’ most reliable pass-catchers, positively impacting his fantasy outlook on the main slate. We expect Beatty to reach his fantasy ceiling and end the day as one of the top performers.

Ryan Williams (Alabama Crimson Tide) $8,100

We’re ending our preferred DFS plays in the exact same way we began — with a play on an undervalued Alabama offensive contributor. Ryan Williams plays a crucial role in helping Ty Simpson reach the pinnacle of fantasy heights in Week 6.

Williams has been Simpson’s first look on offense for most of this season. The Crimson Tide wide receiver has appeared in only three games but sits among the team leaders in every pass-catching category. His 25 targets, 15 receptions, and 238 yards rank second on the team, while his 15.9 yards per reception is tops among all pass-catchers with more than 10 receptions.

Vandy has been notoriously bad at containing opposing defenders. In their most recent contest, the Commodores allowed Utah State to complete 73.7% of its passes, with three different receivers pulling in at least six receptions. That’s been a common theme all season, with Vanderbilt allowing an opponent a 67.1% completion percentage.

Williams and Simpson are a match made in fantasy heaven. We’re betting that Williams leads the way again versus the Commodores and finds his way to the top of the wide receivers’ leaderboard.
