Quarterback + Wide Receiver + Wide Receiver

  • Josh Allen ($8,100 DK, $8,700 FD)
  • Stefon Diggs ($7,700 DK, $7,800 FD)
  • Gabriel Davis ($3,700 DK, $4,900 FD)

Just as I said with last week’s Chiefs game, this is a “hang a number” situation.

Buffalo is coming off two tough losses to the Patriots and Buccaneers and now return home in a critically-important game against a Carolina team that is trending in the wrong direction. The Panthers have done nothing to inspire confidence, losing three straight games and four of their last five. Their defense, once considered a strength, has allowed an average of 29.7 points in those last three games. The Panthers were one of the league’s best at limiting opposing wideouts but have now fallen to a mediocre 15th after their late-season struggles.

Josh Allen is the most-expensive quarterback on DraftKings and the second-most expensive on FanDuel, but it’s worth the play this week. He has played three games at home where Buffalo has been a 7.5-point favorite and he has been fantasy gold.

I’m stacking Allen with top wideout Stefon Diggs, who has seven receptions in three of his past five games and two of his past three contests. Our double-stack here includes Gabriel Davis, who will replace the injured Emmanuel Sanders. Davis saw a season-high 84% snap share last week and has scored a touchdown in two consecutive games. He rates out as one of the best Pts/Sal players among receivers in our projections.

Using the FantasyLabs Optimizer, I produced the following lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. The DraftKings lineup includes DeVante Parker (see below) as well as volume-magnet Davante Adams. FanDuel gives me a unique Buffalo triple stack, along with Adams and elite tight end George Kittle.

I like the Bills so much this week that even if Allen doesn’t play due to the foot injury, I would still stack these players with backup Mitchell Trubisky. That price savings would open up a ton of value at other positions. I believe Buffalo puts a hurting on Carolina, so I love getting exposure to this Buffalo passing attack at home.

Quarterback + Wide Receiver + Tight End

  • Tua Tagovailoa ($5,700 DK, $7,400 FD)
  • DeVante Parker ($4,300 DK, $5,800 FD)
  • Mike Gesicki ($5,000 DK, $6,200 FD)

The Dolphins have struggled to establish their running game, which has boosted to passing attack. Miami ranks seventh in passing percentage per game, and that has coincided with incredible efficiency from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The second-year signal-caller has completed 80% (84-of-105) of his passes over the past three games, with five touchdowns and just one interception. The Dolphins had three running backs in the COVID protocol against the Jets but should be bolstered by the return of Myles Gaskin, who is a strong pass catcher.

Wideout Jalen Waddle was just placed in the COVID protocol today, but the return of wide receiver DeVante Parker last week should still provide enough weapons for Tagovailoa to present as a great DFS quarterback value. Parker has played in six games this season and has seven or more targets in every game except for last week. He has tallied a solid 80% snap share, which should be closer to 90% without Waddle.

This double-stack is completed by tight end Mike Gesicki, who faces a Jets team that allows the third-most fantasy points to the position. Gesicki is coming off an 11-target game with only a 60% snap share against the Giants. If he returns close to his 73% seasonal average, he should easily outperform his TE7 price on DraftKings.

Tagovailoa has displayed such fantastic efficiency that I am not deterred by the 41-point over/under. The savings allows for some great high-cost plays at other positions while coming in with low Projected Ownership.

These two DraftKings stacks not only include this Miami stack but adds Gabriel Davis from our Buffalo stack and high opportunity plays such as Cooper Kupp and Najee Harris.

Don’t be scared off by the low game total. This Miami stack brings high efficiency at a fraction of the cost of other popular stacks.

Running Back + Defense/Special Teams

  • Najee Harris ($7,800 DK, $8,800 FD)
  • Pittsburgh DEF/ST ($3,000 DK, $3,700 FD)

There is so much uncertainty due to COVID concerns that I want to take high-volume security as much as possible. Despite his high price, I’m taking Najee Harris and stacking with the Steelers defense.

Tennessee has been stiff against opposing running backs, but the versatility of Harris makes him an auto-play regardless of the matchup. Harris has eight straight games with at least three receptions and seven games of 100 total yards or more. In a season filled with running back triage and committees, that type of production is invaluable and rare.

The Pittsburgh defense should get a boost, with key defensive players returning this week. Steelers linebackers T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Robert Spillane are all trending in right direction after injuries, and the Steelers playing at home in December is always a difficult task.

Tennessee is still suffering from a multitude of injuries with Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown still unavailable, this Titans offense is a shell of its former self, scoring 13 points in each of their past two losses. Tennessee hit 20 points against Jacksonville on Sunday, but that accomplishment is certainly diluted.

Pittsburgh DEF/ST is still moderately priced and only carries a projected 1.4% ownership on DraftKings. The key to winning large GPP field is knowing who to “pay up” for, and I’m rolling with Harris in Week 15.
