UFC Abu Dhabi DraftKings Same Game Parlay for July 26th

Same game parlays are one of the most entertaining ways to bet. It allows you to place multiple wagers over the same contest, giving you more upside than a traditional wager without having to sweat out multiple games.

For UFC betting, it’s an interesting way to either narrow down very specific outcomes — fighters ton win by a certain method and at a certain time — or correlate events in a way to increase the odds of them hitting together.

Since DraftKings also offers “Fighter Props” similar to player props on statistical outcomes (similar to player props in other sports), we have even more options to attack with. I’ll be looking at the main card fight between Sais Nurmagomedov and Bryce Mitchell for this SGP.

Said Nurmagomedov Moneyline (+115)

I’m fairly confident in the Russian underdog in this one, as he welcomes former featherweight Bryce Mitchell to the bantamweight division. For more on why I’m leaning that way, you can check out my betting preview here.

The Cliff Notes version is that Mitchell is dropping down to a lighter weight class rather than plug the holes in his game that caused him to lose two of his last three fights at featherweight. Those specific holes — striking defense and an over-reliance on wrestling — both line up nicely with Nurmagomedov’s strengths.

Under 2.5 Rounds (+110)

The one area where Mitchell may have an edge is in his cardio. The vast majority of his UFC wins have been wrestling-based decisions, where he controls his opponent from top position across 15 minutes.

That’s a sharp contrast to Nurmagomedov, who has finished five of his seven UFC victories, with all of his losses coming via decision.

To reframe that, if this fight ends early, it’s likely that the dynamic striker Nurmagomedov gets his hand raised at the end. Mitchell’s likeliest win condition is a decision, but losing one leg of the parlay or two doesn’t matter.

Bryce Mitchell Over 0.5 Takedowns (-1400)

While this prop is -1400 individually, DraftKings is (correctly) viewing it as inversely correlated to the other legs of our bet. Due to that, it boosts the total odds on the parlay from +245 to +370.

However, it’s entirely possible that not only does Mitchell land a takedown in a fight where he’s later finished, but that takedown is ultimately what leads to his demise.

Said Nurmagomedov has three wins in the UFC that are listed as guillotine chokes, but each of them would be more accurately described as ninja chokes. He’s used them all to counter takedown attempts from his opponents, typically after hurting them with strikes.

If Mitchell completes the takedown while locked in a choke, that takedown attempt still scores in the official stats, despite getting us closer to a Nurmagomedov victory. That’s the scenario we’re banking on here.
