Anyway, this article will focus on the more traditional salary cap DFS lineups that we’re all accustomed to. The best part about OwnersBox is their DFS product is a Superflex format with no defense.

NFL DFS Quarterback Pick
Russell Wilson ($6,100) at Houston Texans
The Broncos have won five straight games to climb right into the middle of the playoff chase, and they are in a fun matchup this week against the Texans, who are also trying to get to the postseason. The game has the second highest over/under on the week, according to our Vegas Dashboard. In that matchup, Russell Wilson has the most Pts/Sal of any quarterback and of any player at all positions, which is especially important with the Superflex format.
Wilson has the sixth-highest projection of all quarterbacks and represents good value since he has the 10th-highest salary.
Last week, Wilson ran for his first touchdown of the season while throwing for 134 yards and another touchdown. He only attempted 22 passes against the stingy Browns’ defense but finished with a strong fantasy total. He has thrown a touchdown in each of his 11 games while totaling 20 touchdown passes and just four interceptions, with an average of 200.0 passing yards per game.
The game should be high-scoring, and opposing quarterbacks have scored eight touchdowns (six passing, two rushing) in the past four weeks against the Texans. Houston’s defense allowed over 250 passing yards in three of the last four weeks. Wilson has the potential to get to that mark and comes with relatively low risk at this salary. Slotting him into one of your roster spots leaves plenty of salary for stars in other spots on your OwnersBox squad this week.
NFL DFS Running Back Pick
Zack Moss ($5,400) at Tennessee Titans
Not surprisingly, Christian McCaffrey is projected to get the most points this week and comes with the highest salary of all running backs. His Pts/Sal is matched, though, by Zack Moss, who costs over $2K less and is barely inside the top 20 running backs in terms of salary. Both are strong plays this week, given their projected production, but Moss brings added roster flexibility.
Moss will be returning to his role as the top running back for the team since Jonathan Taylor will be sidelined following thumb surgery. When Taylor was on IR for the first four weeks of the season and ramping up to his full workload, Moss averaged 109.25 rushing yards per game in his first four games of the season. He had four total touchdowns during that time, adding one receiving touchdown with eight total receptions in those four games.
During that span, Moss’s best game came against the Titans. He went wild for 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in a 23-16 win in Week 5. Moss did share some work with Taylor in that contest but found enough running room to be a great fantasy option despite the timeshare. In the timeshare last week, he had eight carries for 55 yards against the Bucs, so he should still be sharp and ready to step back into the full-time role for this rematch in Tennessee.
The Titans have been solid against the run overall but have allowed four running back touchdowns in the last five weeks. Even in the absence of Taylor earlier this season, the Colts tried to stay committed to the run. If they continue that focus on Sunday, Moss should be the best running back value on the board in Week 13.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Pick
Tyreek Hill ($8,000) at Washington Commanders
There are definitely times to try to save some salary and go with cheaper options, but the goal of those savings is to find the right superstars to pay up for. So far this season, Tyreek Hill has been one of the best spend-up options since he brings such a high ceiling but has also been very consistently reliable.
Hill gets enormous volume in his role in the Dolphins offense. He is averaging 10.9 targets per game, with double-digit targets in six straight contests. He has converted all those opportunities into 8.0 catches for 120.4 receiving yards per game and 10 touchdowns in 11 contests. He has found the end zone in six of his last seven games and gone over 100 yards in three of his last four.
Not all of the speedster’s work is deep down the field either; he has had multiple red zone targets in three of his last four weeks, and coach Mike McDaniel is scheming creative ways to get the ball in his hands every week. Of all wide receivers in the NFL, Hill ranks third in deep targets and second in red zone targets.
Even though they’re on the road, the Dolphins have the highest implied team total on the board for the main slate. The Commanders have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game in the NFL to opposing receivers this season. Last week, the Cowboys’ receivers feasted for three touchdowns and 245 yards against Washington on Thanksgiving. On the season, opposing receivers now have 18 touchdowns in 11 games while averaging 196.25 yards per game, the second-best mark in the NFL.
It should be a smash spot for Hill and the Dolphins on Sunday, so make him one of the superstars you pay up to include with your savings elsewhere on your roster.
If you are shopping for cheap receivers, Deebo Samuel, Josh Downs, and Diontae Johnson are three names worth considering while Rashid Shaeed (thigh) and Demario Douglas (concussion) will be good plays if they can play through their injuries. Check the news page for updates. If those values are unavailable, Curtis Samuel and Elijah Moore are other options to consider.
NFL DFS Tight End Pick
David Njoku ($4,100) at Los Angeles Rams
While Trey McBride again brings the highest Pts/Sal of all tight ends, he is a little uncertain this week due to a groin injury that limited him in practice this week. If he plays at 100%, he’ll be a good play in a high-volume spot against the Steelers, but there are other good options to consider at the position as well, including David Njoku, who is tied for the third-highest Pts/Sal at the position and comes $500 cheaper than McBride.
Njoku has gone through several quarterback changes this season but has remained a consistent contributor. Whether he works with Dorian Thompson-Robinson or Joe Flacco, he should be able to return value in this favorable matchup with the Rams, who have allowed the seventh-most yards per game to the position this season. Opposing tight ends have also scored five touchdowns against the Rams, including two in their last four games.
In his last six games, Njoku has averaged 9.3 targets per contest. He has at least four receptions in each of those six games and has gone over 50 yards five times. He had two touchdowns during that span and had 13 red zone targets in those six games. In the last two weeks with DTR under center most of the time, Njoku has 24 targets, 13 catches, and 115 total yards. Njoku is only the seventh-most expensive tight end option on Sunday’s slate, but he brings a great ceiling with his workload and his matchup.
