Week 11 NFL DFS GPP Targets: Players with Highest Ceilings at Every Position

nfl preseason week 3-live show-dfs and betting-curtis samuel

We have an excellent 11-game main slate on tap for Week 11 that begins at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

This piece will highlight the top NFL DFS players at each position in our FantasyLabs Player Models in terms of their projected ceiling from our award-winning Director of Predictive Analytics, Sean Koerner.

(Do people even read intros?)

Let’s dive in.

Top Model Quarterback Ceiling Projections

Drew Brees ($6,900 DraftKings; $8,300 FanDuel)

Brees tops our ceiling projections and is an intriguing option in tournaments. This is an interesting spot to target Brees after he failed to throw a touchdown at home against the Falcons. For starters, most DFS players prefer not to target Brees on the road.

The fading of Brees on the road has been warranted since he’s averaged 14.84 DraftKings points per game along with a 28% Consistency Rating away from the Superdome, compared to 22.33 DraftKings points per game with a 64% Consistency Rating at home, per our Trends tool.

So, can Brees break that trend against the Bucs this week? On paper, this is an elite spot for him, as the Bucs are one of the biggest funnels in the league on defense, ranking 27th in pass DVOA and first in rush DVOA.

The Bucs have struggled mightily against the pass, allowing 298.3 passing yards per game and 7.69 yards per attempt. They also just cut their “top” corner in Vernon Hargraves. Granted, there are no good corners on the Bucs, just different degrees of bad.

Anyway, other than being on the road, all signs point to this being a get right spot for Brees in this spot with the plus draw and the Saints owning a 27.75 implied team total.
