Week 8 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks

Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers + Mark Andrews + DJ Moore

  • Lamar Jackson ($6,800 DraftKings, $8,500 FanDuel)
  • Zay Flowers ($7,200 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel)
  • Mark Andrews ($3,400 DraftKings, $5,200 FanDuel)
  • DJ Moore ($5,700 DraftKings, $6,700 FanDuel)

The Baltimore Ravens suffered back-to-back divisional losses, scoring 23 combined points. With the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars next on the schedule, it is the perfect time to get Lamar Jackson back in action. He has practiced and is expected to play, which makes this AFC showdown against the Bills a fireworks show. This Week 8 game has a 54.5-point total, which is tied for the highest on the slate.

The Ravens are three-point road underdogs, but they are the best team to attack in this game. The Bills rank dead last in defense EPA per play and 29th in pass defense EPA per play. This is an ideal matchup for Jackson and the Ravens’ passing attack. To add fuel to the fire, the Bills are also allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers and the third-most to quarterbacks. What a perfect spot for Jackson’s comeback.

In the first four games of the season with Jackson healthy, the Ravens were 3-1, and Jackson had the second-highest aDOT among quarterbacks at 10.4, along with a remarkable 71% completion percentage. He threw six touchdowns and added 36 rushing yards per game with a score on the ground before his Week 4 injury. Jackson is currently projected for around 5% ownership, making him a strong contrarian option.

Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is on pace for the best season of his career. He currently ranks fifth in target share at 31% among wide receivers and sixth in fantasy points per game. In his three games with Jackson at quarterback, Flowers averaged 117.3 receiving yards with two touchdowns and 24.4 DraftKings points per game. He is also coming off a fantastic performance last week, catching eight passes for 137 yards and a score.

The Bills are allowing an absurd league-high 35.2 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, setting this up to be a smash spot for Flowers. He has averaged double-digit targets in his last four games with eight receptions in three of those four contests. With Derrick Henry’s recent struggles, the Ravens offense has prioritized Flowers. He is an obvious stacking partner to pair with Jackson this week.

No one is more excited to get Jackson back than his security blanket Mark Andrews. The 31-year-old has looked every bit of his age recently as his connection with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley never got off the ground. Andrews was running the same number of routes, but with Huntley under center, he had a 14% target share compared to a 24% target share with Jackson. Expect a bounce-back week for Andrews.

Andrews averaged 4.5 receptions and scored his only receiving touchdown this year with Jackson. He is $3,400 on DraftKings, which is by far the lowest salary Andrews has had all season. The tight end position is not crystal clear this week, so saving money on Andrews feels like a great investment. He does not have to do much to return value at this cheap price tag. Andrews is a solid stacking partner for this salary.

Another player expected to return from injury this week is Bills wide receiver DJ Moore. After injuring his shoulder in Week 4, Moore practiced in limited fashion on Thursday. Keep an eye on his status to make sure he is able to suit up this week. If he is out, I would recommend Dalton Kincaid or Khalil Shakir, who are similarly priced. However, Moore is the preferred option of this trio given his large upside.

Moore started his first year on the Bills with five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. He hasn’t looked the same since that game, but priced in the mid-range, Moore is arguably the best bring-back in this Ravens stack. The Bills have a 28.75-point team total, which is the second-highest total on the slate. This game environment is going to be great, and Moore is a good bet for a bounceback.

Dak Prescott + Javonte Williams + CeeDee Lamb + Jeremiyah Love

  • Dak Prescott ($6,300 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel)
  • Javonte Williams ($7,300 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel)
  • CeeDee Lamb ($8,100 DraftKings, $8,900 FanDuel)
  • Jeremiyah Love ($5,400 DraftKings, $5,900 FanDuel)

The second game with a 54.5-point total is an NFC matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. The Cowboys are touchdown favorites implied for 30.75 points, which is the highest team total on the slate. The Cowboys and Cardinals rank 29th and 30th, respectively, in defense EPA per play. The Cowboys also rank second in pace with 26.8 seconds per play, making them an up-tempo team.

Dak Prescott leads our NFL Sims by a wide margin at the quarterback position with a 24.6% optimal lineup rate. No other quarterback is touching double digits. He also leads his position with the highest projected Plus/Minus. It has been an up-and-down year for the Cowboys and Prescott, but this is an elite matchup to get back on track. Prescott is the cheapest he has been all year at $6,300 on DraftKings.

The Cardinals are allowing a league-high 29.7 points per game. They have allowed 30+ points in five of their last six games. No one has a history of dominating inferior opponents like the Cowboys. They are only 3-4 this season, but in their three victories, the Cowboys are averaging 36.3 points and Prescott is averaging 24.7 DraftKings points per game in those contests. He is simply too cheap in this matchup.

Similar to Prescott, Cowboys running back Javonte Williams has been a boom-or-bust fantasy option. Last week, Williams rushed for over 100 yards for the first time all season, finishing with 155 yards and a late touchdown against the Eagles. Scoring touchdowns has been Williams’ biggest asset to the team. He has scored nine total touchdowns this season with at least one score in all games but one.

With Williams dominating the rushing attack last week, it was also the first week all season that he did not record two or more receptions. He didn’t even have a target, but that is unlikely in this spot. The Cardinals will have no answer for the Cowboys offense, having allowed bigger games to lesser opponents. Running back pricing and ownership are spread out on this slate, but don’t forget about Williams at $7,300.

George Pickens is dealing with shoulder and hamstring injuries and has been limited in practice this week. He will likely play, but if he doesn’t, that makes this spot for CeeDee Lamb even better. Lamb has a team-high 30% target share this season, which is the sixth-highest total in the league. Over the last four weeks, Lamb is averaging an absurd 14 targets per game. They are prioritizing him in this passing attack.

It is difficult to find a ceiling higher than Lamb’s in any given week. He has six receiving touchdowns while averaging 93 receiving yards and 23.5 DraftKings points per game. Lamb ranks second in the league in fantasy scoring behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba at the wide receiver position. He is third on this slate at this position in optimal lineup rate at 22.4%. Lamb is an incredible play that could look even better this week.

Not only is the Cardinals defense terrible, but the Cowboys may be even worse. They are allowing a league-high 145.7 rushing yards per game, which sets up perfectly for our bring-back with rookie running back Jeremiyah Love. He has missed the last two weeks due to injury, but the third overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft is priced under $6,000 across the industry. I will gladly take that value any given week.

Despite missing two games, Love is comfortably leading the Cardinals in rushing yards and has caught 11 of his 15 targets. This dual-threat running back has elite talent and will have plenty of running lanes against the Cowboys’ weak defense. Make sure he is able to play this week, but if all goes well, Love is one of the best values on the slate. However, still obviously prioritize the Cowboys in this shootout game.
