Week 5 NFL DFS Stacks and Picks

Jacoby Brissett + Michael Wilson + Trey McBride + Jahmyr Gibbs

  • Jacoby Brissett ($5,500 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel)
  • Michael Wilson ($6,200 DraftKings, $6,400 FanDuel)
  • Trey McBride ($6,700 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel)
  • Jahmyr Gibbs ($9,800 DraftKings, $10,000 FanDuel)

The Week 5 NFL DFS main slate starts with how to attack the Detroit Lions–Arizona Cardinals game. This showdown has a slate-high 54.5-point total, with the next-closest game failing to exceed 47 points. The Lions are 5.5-point road favorites with a 30-point team total. The Cardinals’ 24.5-point team total is the second-highest on the slate. To save a little salary, attack this game with the Cardinals.

Allowing a league-high 423.8 yards per game, the Lions defense has been the most fantasy-friendly unit through the first four weeks. By a substantial margin, the Lions are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and tight ends, along with the second-most to wide receivers. That is how we are going to attack this game: Jacoby Brissett with his favorite pass-catchers, Michael Wilson and Trey McBride.

After a season-opening victory, the Cardinals have lost three straight games. However, this offense does have upside, especially in this spectacular matchup. Veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett ranked fourth in dropbacks per game last year and is in the top 10 to start this season. With Brissett likely playing from behind and needing to score touchdowns, expect plenty of opportunities for him to pay off his cheap price tag.

Brissett has the slate’s highest projected Plus/Minus at quarterback. He also has the highest optimal lineup rate in our NFL Sims. Despite having a relatively slow start to the season, Brissett has thrown for two touchdowns in the past two weeks, including one rushing score. Priced at $5,500 on DraftKings and below $7,000 on FanDuel, Brissett is a fantastic value and a great piece to build around.

It didn’t take long for wide receiver Michael Wilson to return to his late 2025 form. In the last two games, Wilson has been peppered with a 36% target share, the second-highest in the league over that span. Wilson has caught 18 of his 30 targets over the past two weeks, averaging 92 yards per game with one touchdown. His salary has continued to rise, but Wilson is still an elite mid-range play.

Like Brissett, Wilson has the highest projected Plus/Minus at his position. The Lions defense has been torched by No. 1 wide receivers this season. Chris Olave had 10 receptions for 182 receiving yards. Garrett Wilson had 10 receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown. Tet McMillan had 14 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns. This is setting up for a strong week for Wilson.

Arguably the best tight end in the league, Trey McBride is another perfect pairing with Brissett. McBride has the highest target share at tight end and has seen double-digit targets every week, along with at least seven receptions. He leads the position in fantasy scoring and has its highest optimal lineup rate at 18.3%. He is expensive but worth every penny this week.

Despite the high price tag, McBride is drawing over 20% projected ownership this week. Even with Brock Bowers on the slate and finally healthy, McBride is the pay-up tight end to target. Expect another double-digit target game with scoring upside. McBride and Wilson each have a 36% end-zone target share. These are the two obvious pairings, and both look incredible against this poor Lions defense.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs had a “bad” game last week and still recorded 17.7 DraftKings points with a touchdown, four receptions, and 77 all-purpose yards. For the season, Gibbs is averaging a league-high 30 DraftKings points per game. He is tied for fifth in rushing yards, ranks first among running backs in receiving yards, and has seven total touchdowns. He is in a class of his own and is the best play on the slate.

The Cardinals defense ranks 28th in EPA per play, making this a strong spot for Gibbs. There is simply no other player getting his workload. He has the highest optimal lineup rate on the slate at 33.8%. This game has the juice. There are so many plays to mix in, but be careful of ownership. When stacking this potential shootout, make sure to differentiate lineups in other spots, but do not be afraid to mega-stack this game.

Jordan Love + Christian Watson + Matthew Golden + Luther Burden III

  • Jordan Love ($5,700 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel)
  • Christian Watson ($6,400 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)
  • Matthew Golden ($5,700 DraftKings, $6,300 FanDuel)
  • Luther Burden III ($4,900 DraftKings, $5,900 FanDuel)

There are not many spots that look enticing with the Lions and Cardinals on the slate, but this NFC North rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears has shootout potential. We already know the Bears will try to score in bunches and want to have the highest-scoring offense ever, which will force the Packers to answer. This game has a 45.5-point total, and the Bears are 1.5-point road favorites.

The Packers offense has literally zero running game, which puts a ton of pressure on Jordan Love and the passing attack. They are averaging a league-low 58 rushing yards per game with no production from Marshawn Lloyd or Keldon Johnson. Their starter last game, Chris Brooks, is questionable with an ankle injury. This is setting up to be another week when Love needs to generate all the scoring production.

Love had his best game of the season last week with a 73.3% completion percentage and, for the first time all year, was not sacked. The reinforcements on the offensive line paid dividends. One benefit of not having a running game is that Love has thrown for two touchdowns in every game this season. The Packers have zero rushing touchdowns. Around the goal line, it is the Love show, which boosts his ceiling.

Averaging 20 DraftKings points per game, Christian Watson leads the team in receiving yards and has a team-high four receiving touchdowns. Watson had a ton of success against the Bears last season, scoring three touchdowns in their three matchups, including the playoff game. He is a big-bodied wide receiver who should take advantage of the weak Bears secondary. Watson remains reasonably priced in the mid-range.

Matthew Golden has taken a step forward after his rookie season was a flop. He leads the team with a 25% target share, a 14.1 aDOT, and a 39% air-yards share. On several occasions, Golden has drawn pass interference penalties way down the field, indicating he could be having an even better season. He has scored in each of the past two weeks and posted the first 100-yard receiving game of his career.

The Packers brought wide receiver Savion Williams back from injured reserve. He will likely steal some usage from Watson and Golden, but not enough to be relevant, especially in his first week back. With Jayden Reed out for the season, Watson and Golden are on pace for huge seasons with a large target share. They are the best pairings with Jordan Love in this extremely concentrated offense.

Tucker Kraft is the only other relevant fantasy target for the Packers offense. The Packers made a point to get Kraft more involved last week. He caught six of his seven targets for 42 yards and one touchdown. He dropped a second touchdown earlier in the game and had a 67% end-zone target share after having a 0% share in the first three weeks. Kraft is cheap and worth taking a shot at if salary savings are needed.

Arguably the biggest news on the entire slate is the status of Bears running back Kyle Monangai. He is dealing with turf toe and a thumb that was bent the wrong way last week. Monangai plans to play, but if he is out, D’Andre Swift will be one of the best plays of the week. Swift is dealing with his own hip and knee injuries but has returned to practice. He is a strong play whose outlook could improve even further this week.

Assuming Swift and Monangai both play, Luther Burden III is far too cheap this week. Priced under $5,000 for the first time all year, Burden continues to lead the Bears with a 25% target share. Even with backup quarterback Tyson Bagent under center, Burden caught four of his six targets last week for 63 yards and added an 11-yard rush. Burden is one of the best value plays on both sites this week.

We need the Bears to push the Packers in this contest to force Matt LaFleur into an aggressive game plan. The three meetings between these teams last year averaged 48.3 points per game. The weather looks great at Lambeau Field this Sunday, so let’s play for a classic shootout between these two massive rivals.
