Fantasy Football Week 14 Rankings:  Expert Tiers for QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, Kickers & Defenses

My initial fantasy football rankings for NFL Week 14 are out, but as always, things will change between now and when things lock on Sunday.

These projections will change throughout the week as I dive deeper into injury reports, data, and other news from last week. With that said, make sure to check my updated Week 14 rankings and projections before you lock in your final lineup decisions.

I’ve organized my initial Week 14 fantasy football rankings into tiers to assist you with your start-sit choices. This tiered structure allows you to easily see the expected performance gaps between players at each position.

Let’s dive into the initial version of my Week 14 fantasy football tiers below!

I like to use my Tiers commentary as a place where I can drop my unfiltered thoughts on players, roster management, and anything that sticks out to me while setting up my projections. It’s tough to squeeze everything into pods, shows, or my prop write-ups, so this part of the week is where I zoom out a little and add context that goes beyond raw projections and ranks.

I get a ton of questions about the fantasy playoff schedule, which in most leagues runs from Weeks 15–17. I realize some leagues start in Weeks 16–17 or even include Week 18; every format is a little different, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to go about it.

Schedule Strength (SoS) numbers here show how many points above or below league average a defense has allowed to a position. These can be a bit noisy, because every team has faced a different schedule, and injuries, trades, and role changes obviously shape those results. Still, after 13 weeks, we have a decent feel for what counts as an easy or tougher matchup.

If you locked up a BYE in Week 15, you probably only care about Weeks 16–17. Makes perfect sense. And just because a team grades well in SoS doesn’t mean a player is automatically a must-start, or vice versa. Easy matchups don’t guarantee big games, and tougher ones don’t guarantee bad ones. It’s always more of a guide than a guarantee.

My projections and ranks will continue to update throughout the week, especially after Friday and Saturday, when I do my full projections sweep, going game by game, matchup by matchup, stat by stat, digging for prop value, and fine-tuning my projections that fuel my weekly ranks. That process will always continue up until Sunday lock.

These are initial projections as of Wednesday. A lot can change.

I also color-coded games in blue when they’re indoors or in covered stadiums, where weather won’t be a factor. We don’t know what the weather will be like for any Week 16 games yet, but we do know if a stadium has a roof. Late in the season, that detail matters a ton, especially when weather can swing an ideal matchup into a brutal one (for passing or kicking) by the time the fantasy playoffs roll around.

So, as always, take these SoS as a general guide, but I try to point out how I’m interpreting them for each position below and my high-level thoughts for prepping for the fantasy football playoffs.

Alright, let’s dive in.
