CS:GO DFS Projections for Thursday, April 23: Team Liquid Highlights the Road to Rio

Road to Rio qualifiers continue on Thursday with another six-match Main slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Four teams — Isurus, BOOM, RED Canids, and Imperial — appear on the slate for the second consecutive day while a pair of teams ranked within the top 10 in the world — Team Liquid and G2 — join in on the fun.

CS:GO Notes for Thursday, April 23

DraftKings

  • There is some notable price action to highlight involving the teams that play both today and yesterday. RED Canids — listed as +165 dogs to BOOM yesterday — are currently listed as -180 favorites on Thursday against Isurus. Their pricing has been adjusted accordingly, as fnx, latto, nak, and DeStiNy all had their salaries increase by at least $500. Despite the team’s favorable win odds, the salary bumps take RED Canids out of play, outside of contrarian tournament builds.
  • Value is once again hard to come by on Thursday, though there are a few names to consider. Nitr0 is particularly intriguing at $6,200 given Team Liquids’ -1400 moneyline odds. Nitr0’s peripherals aren’t noteworthy as his shares of team kills and deaths both hover around the 20% mark, but with Liquid looking like a strong bet to rack up Rounds Not Played and Team Sweep bonuses, nitr0 will be a valuable salary saver.
  • FalleN and felps are neck-and-neck at the top of the leaderboard in terms of raw projected fantasy points. Felps plays a boom-bust style of play, as his 24.6% share of team kills is best on the slate, but his 22.8% share of team deaths is third-worst on the slate. Felps is coming off a relatively poor Wednesday performance in which he racked up 68 deaths against 66 kills, and that may help keep his Thursday ownership down. FalleN also boasts an impressive 24.4% share of team kills, but he’s done a much better job of keeping his death numbers down than felps in recent weeks. FalleN won’t come cheap at $9,600, but he is an ideal cash game play where affordable.

FanDuel

  • Contrary to DraftKings, FanDuel left BOOM’s salary largely unchanged heading into Thursday’s slate. As a result, felps, yeL, and chelo all appear near the top of the value board. There will likely be price movement in the betting markets following Wednesday’s action, but as long as BOOM remains favored against Imperial, its players will remain intriguing on FanDuel.
  • MIBR also rate positively on FanDuel, particularly FalleN, fer, and kNgV. MIBR does not have a single player priced above $10,000 despite being listed as a -800 favorite. For comparison, each of the other large favorites — Liquid, FURIA, and G2 — have at least two players priced above 10k. Due to MIBR’s reasonable price tags, they are an ideal team to double-stack with one of the other heavy favorites.
