Ohio vs. Akron Prediction
Ohio (6 wins, 2 losses) leads the MAC at 4 and 0. The Bobcats enter as a double digit favorite over Akron (1 win, 7 losses) on a 50.5 total.
My Ohio vs. Akron prediction centers on three DraftKings Showdown lines, each with projected points and salary:
- Nick Poulos more than 1.5 passing touchdowns is my top pick. Akron ranks 125th of 133 teams against quarterbacks. Poulos has 769 passing yards, 6 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions this year.
- Jordan Gant more than 77.5 rushing yards is my next pick. Gant carried 28 times for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns in his last game. Brayden Roggow has 9 interceptions to 7 touchdowns, so I expect another heavy workload against an Ohio run defense that allows 135.1 yards per game.
- Riley Neer more than 62.5 receiving yards per game rounds out my predictions. Neer leads Ohio with 37 catches, 497 yards, and 5 touchdowns. No teammate has half as many catches, and Akron allows 226.9 passing yards per game.
