Saturday’s main slate on DraftKings features 10 games starting at 7:05 pm ET. It is worth noting the second game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates is not offered on FanDuel’s main slate.

Pitchers

The four pitchers projected to score the most fantasy points today are:

  • Joe Musgrove (R)
  • Walker Buehler (R)
  • Dylan Cease (R)
  • Luis Garcia (R)

The highest-rated pitcher on Bales Model for both DraftKings and FanDuel is Joe Musgrove from the San Diego Padres. Musgrove has been on absolute fire this season. In 128 1/3 innings, he has a 8-7 record, 2.81 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 147 strikeouts, and a no-hitter in April. Coming off four consecutive quality starts, he will be hoping to continue his 2021 dominance against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Although they have the worst record in MLB (37-80), the Diamondbacks have won the opening two games of this four-game series. A strong reason why Musgrove is highly rated is due to the low projected implied runs total of 3.5 for the Diamondbacks today.

The highest-priced pitcher today on both DraftKings and FanDuel is Walker Buehler from the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you thought Musgrove’s numbers were impressive, look at Buehler’s. In 147 2/3 innings, he has a 12-2 record, 2.13 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 152 strikeouts. He has pitched six consecutive quality starts. Today, Buehler will be on the mound against the New York Mets who are in a tight three-team NL East division race. Currently only a half-game out, the Mets are in desperate need of a win.

Dylan Cease has been in top form recently and will be hoping to continue his fine run. Over his last 11 innings, Cease has struck out 21 against just six hits. The White Sox currently own an 11-game lead over the rest of the AL Central division and are looking to lean on Cease for another quality outing. Tonight, Cease will be pitching against the New York Yankees who have a projected implied runs total of 4.1.

The second-highest-rated pitcher on Bales Model for FanDuel today is Luis Garcia from the Houston Astros. In 106 2/3 innings, he has struck out 129 opposing batters, has a 3.29 ERA and 8-6 record. Garcia is coming off a performance in which he allowed only two hits against over six innings while striking out eight batters.

Value

Two pitcher’s stand out on Bales Model for having a high projected points/salary on tonight’s main slate.

Brad Keller from the Kansas City Royals is considered a 96% bargain on DraftKings tonight. His 5.79 ERA and 7-11 record are nothing to write home about, but he has had some nice performances throughout the season.

Another lower-priced pitcher projected to have a decent game today is Taijuan Walker from the New York Mets. We mentioned it earlier, the Mets are in a tight division race and are hoping to get back in the win column after losing six of their last 10 games.

Today’s top projected points stack comes to you from the -175 Houston Astros:

  • Jose Altuve (R)
  • Michael Brantley (L)

Hoping to reach the 70-win mark today, the Astros will rely on their bats as they have the second-best run differential in MLB (+161). On FanDuel, this stack will cost you $11.8K in salary and is projected for a combined 51.6 fantasy points.
