NBA Trend of the Day: Players With 10 or More FanDuel Pro Trends

We truly believe here at FantasyLabs that we have the most unique tools and data available to DFS users. However, we also realize that those tools and data are only as awesome and helpful as our ability to effectively communicate how to use everything. As such, we will continually listen to feedback of what you need and try our best to teach our subscribers how to use all of the cool things we have to offer.

With this in mind, we’ve begun a “Trend of the Day” series. Every weekday we’ll walk our subscribers through an important trend for that day’s slate of games.

Tonight, we have a 10-game slate with some juicy team totals. My initial look at the Player Models shows me that we have 10 players on FanDuel with 10 or more Pro Trends tonight. I think it is worth seeing how those players have handled that situation in the past.

Trend: Players with 10 or More FanDuel Pro Trends

Step 1: Trends > Pro Trends > Set to “10 to 15”

trend1

Referencing the top right hand corner of the photo above, we can see that this gives us a Plus/Minus of 2.35. Next, take a look at our current matches for tonight.

Step 2: Current Matches > Sort by “Pro”

trend2

Now that we can see who fits this trend for tonight’s slate, we can decide which player we want to look further into. Our Player Models have DeMarcus Cousins as tonight’s highest-rated player. Let’s take a look at how he has performed in this situation.

Step 3: Player Filters > Player Name > Select “DeMarcus Cousins”

trend3

Cousins has an impressive and not too surprising Plus/Minus of +4.01. Again, let’s go a step further – Cousins has a slate-high 13 Pro Trends while no other player has higher than 11. A quick edit will show us how he has performed when he has been the benefactor of 12 or more Pro Trends.

Step 4: Trends > Pro Trends> Set to “12 to 13”

trend4

Here we can see that Boogie has a Plus/Minus of +6.02 in the 11 times that he has been in this situation. Next, I would take a look at his past results.

trend5

We can see that DeMarcus has only failed to meet his salary-based expectation on two of these occasions. I am not scared away by that small sample.

We can follow those steps to see exactly how each one of the other nine players have performed when carrying 10 or more Pro Trends. Since it is Friday, I will save you all the trouble and chart those results below.

trend6

There we have it. Hopefully you guys use this information to build some solid lineups tonight. There is more information hidden behind each one of these players. Take some time digging through the Trends Tool to see what else can be found.
