Wednesday’s slate brings us some fresh faces as DraftKings moves away from Flashpoint 1 to LOOT.BET Season 6. That means Endpoint, Gambit Youngsters, Secret and Illuminar will all be making their DFS debuts starting at 5:30am Eastern Time on Wednesday morning. From an odds perspective, the market is currently viewing Secret/Illuminar as a near toss-up, while Gambit Youngsters are listed as -150 favorites over Endpoint.
CS:GO Notes for Wednesday, Apr. 15
- From a pure projections standpoint, innocent and sh1ro stand head-and-shoulders above the rest of the field with initial projections of 83.6 and 82 respectively. Below the top tier, there is a group of players bunched together in the 64-66 point range, well behind the top two. While innocent and sh1ro are both priced above $8,500, it will be worth making an effort to get both into your lineup.
- Of course, paying up for two studs makes it necessary to find value elsewhere in your lineup. One candidate to fill that role is robiin, who has the sixth-highest point projection despite being priced at only $5,400. Robiin ranks No. 1 on the slate in assist share at 23.6%, but his statistical profile also introduces more risk. For one, an assist in CS:GO occurs when a player inflicts damage, but does not finish the kill. Because of the multiple variables coming into play here, assists can be more difficult to project forward than kills. Furthermore, in order for robiin to generate the necessary assists, he’ll need Endpoint to do well as a whole. With Endpoint currently listed at +110 against Gambit Youngsters, there is a good chance that does not happen.
- Another possible value option is nafany of Gambit Youngsters, who costs $5,000. Like robiin, nafany will also be extremely reliant on his team for production as his personal statistical profile has some holes. Most notably, nafany’s 23.2% share of team deaths over the last three months is the highest on the slate by a healthy margin. But with Gambit Youngsters listed as the largest favorite on the slate, nafany may have a chance to best his recent production in this area. Outside of his death numbers, nafany’s assist and kill shares are largely replacement level, both hovering around 20%. Despite the uninspiring peripherals, it is the team environment and cheap price tag that make nafany appealing.
