CS:GO DFS Projections for Thursday, April 16: Stack Winstrike Against SKADE

Thursday morning’s slate brings us more action from LOOT.BET Season 6 with Winstrike facing off against SKADE and Espada taking on SMASH.

As was the case on Wednesday, Thursday’s matchups will mark the DraftKings debuts for each of the four teams. SMASH is currently listed as a -215 favorite over Espada, while Winstrike is a -160 favorite over SKADE.

CS:GO Notes for Tuesday, Apr. 14

  • Interestingly enough, the top two projections on the slate belong to underdogs: Rainwaker of SKADE and degster of Espada. Both players have accounted for 23% of their team’s kills over the past three months and are projected for around 70 kills per 90 rounds on Thursday. With that said, the expensive salaries — Rainwaker costs $8,400 while degster checks in at $8,800 — will be hard to stomach given that neither player’s team is favored to win.
  • That brings us to Winstrike’s top two of Hobbit and El1an, who check in at No. 3 and No. 4 in terms of raw projected points. Hobbit commands the highest kill share on the team at 22% while El1an benefits from a slate-low 17.6% death share. With that said, El1an’s kill share (20.5%) and assist share (17.7%) are both uninspiring considering his $8,600 price tag.
  • SPELLAN currently ranks as the top value on Thursday’s slate, though that is more a function of his cheap $5,000 salary than anything else. SPELLAN has a poor 0.91 kill:death ratio over the past three months and plays for SKADE, currently +120 dogs to Winstrike. Still, given the overall composition of the slate, he may be a necessary concession if you want to roster three of the five players priced $8,000 and above.
  • Winstrike looks like the top team to stack due to their favorable win odds and affordable price tags. After Hobbit and El1an, all three of KrizzeN, bondik, and Lack1 are priced below $7,000 while ranking No. 4, 5, and 6 in value rating.
