The Stroud-Harrison combo has resulted in 12 TDs and 1,157 yards receiving for Harrison. But Stroud spreads the ball around. Fellow WR Emeka Egbuka caught 9 TDs and had 1,039 receiving yards. Stroud had a fabulous 2022 season, completing 66.2% of his passes and throwing 37 TDs while giving up just 6 interceptions. He and his WRs have to have their best game of the year if they are going to take down Georgia.
OSU Won’t Win Because of Georgia’s Defense
This defensive squad is unreal. If Jalen Carter doesn’t go #1 in the draft, it’s an injustice. During the SEC Championship Game, the star DT sacked LSU QB Jayden Daniels, who weighs over 200 pounds, and lifted him up with one arm. Check it out on Youtube. Jalen Carter is a beast. And he is healthy and eager to terrorize OSU QB CJ Stroud for 60 minutes in the Peach Bowl. Even if OSU bottles up Carter, which seems unlikely, his teammates will be flying all over the field just like they did during the season. Linebackers Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Smael Mondon Jr. each had 64 tackles in 2022, and they are ready for more. If Georgia wins, it will be because of their superior defense that has held opposing teams to an average of just 12.8 points per game.
